Re: Prevent line breaks on underscore character?
I've used a zero-width joiner () in other contexts where I don't want to add space (like ) between two pieces of text. Not sure if this works in the Flare XML Editor, but maybe it works in HTML. My issue is with superscripts preceding text (as is commonly used for isotopes of elements): the XML Ed...

Hyperlink in bubble
Is there a way of inserting a hyperlink in a bubble, so that the bubble becomes a live link to some location? I want to annotate an image and have the labels go to text in a glossary or a help topic.

Re: minitoc links > open in new tab
This appears to be a regression in the Flare software. Our November 2017 release has the problem; the August 2017 release does not, neither do earlier releases. I'll file a bug report.

Re: minitoc links > open in new tab
I saw the same thing - it came to our attention as a customer issue. I suspect the problem is that the javascript that constructs the TOC (and the mini-TOC) assumes that the topic will be opened in the same page. So when I right-click on a link and open in a new tab, it works just fine for a link th...

Re: CSH links not working in Microsoft Edge
We are running into a similar problem on Windows. We have been using HTML5 help with our own Qt panel that serves up the pages with QWebKit (this because we run on Windows, Mac, and Linux, so use Qt for our GUI). The panel was axed recently due to some other software problems, so now we are going wi...

Re: Prevent Word import from splitting topic at page breaks?
Thanks for the replies. This is (ultimately) intended for an automated procedure that is used multiple times, so scripting would be the way to go. The procedure doesn't actually go via Word, just Google > Word doc > Flare. I could probably write a Python script to automatically remove the page break...

Prevent Word import from splitting topic at page breaks?
When importing a Word file that has page breaks, Flare splits the file into new topics at each page break. Is there a way of suppressing this? I only want to split the topic at the specified headings. Background: the file was downloaded from Google docs as a Word file for import into Flare. The page...

Re: Making the text editor view readable
When I've seen things like this it's usually been multiple list items on a single line, or multiple paragraphs in a list item. Adding the line breaks manually in the text editor seems to work: they stay in place when you switch between the XML and text editors. Often the symptom in the XML editor is...

Re: 2017 R2 broke all of my TOCs
Does anyone know if this is fixed in r2 build 6355? I see "Snippets caused linked labels to display incorrectly in the TOC Editor" listed as a bug fix in the New Updates Available dialog.

I'm seeing exactly the same issue with the menu proxy - it uses the default rather than the one specified.

robocopy in post-build events
I've been using post-build events to copy files into the Flare output (HTML5). The copy command works fine (and yes, I do use quotes around the file name). I have been working on copying our legal notices into the output, as I don't want to index them. This involves copying a few files and a folder ...
