Re: Ratings on articles from annonymous readers
Sorry about the 3 year delay in following up. Must have gotten busy. Anyway, I'm just wondering what your guidance would be today for the same issue, obtaining online help topic ratings/analytics/feedback. We need to be GDPR compliant. I would add that my skin is Tri-pane based. However, with a bit ...

A report that lists topics by style applied?
Before I change a CSS style for a very large project, I'm wondering if there is a report that can tell what other topics that style has been used in? I don't want to inadvertently mess up something I created two or three years ago.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Technical writer for software company in Freiburg, Germa
I studied at Albert Ludwigs Universitaet- Freiburg back in the mid 1970s. The Altstadt was lovely then and fun! I loved it and loved the people I met studying there. It was only with great reluctance that I returned to the US.And the bread! The bread! And the cheese! What marvelous cheeses ...

Re: Google Analytics Config
Thank you, Dave. :D I am also assuming that GA will work with context sensitive HTML5 Help that is integrated with the application. Yes, when a page loads, it'll run the GA script and record the page view in analytics. It doesn't matter if the page is opened by clicking a link, or direct from CSH ...

Just wondering if you resolved this issue? Potentially interested in trying Pulse out. But I need to know it works really well before investing a lot of time and money.

This may also occur when one pop-up is ...

Blank HTML5 Topic Popups in Chrome, not in IE, Mozilla
Just encountered this issue. My HTML5 project output in Google displays blank popups, when clicked. Link to popup may work first time, but not second and vise versa. In some topics, the first 5-9 popups work fine. In others, the first popup fails. Side by side comparisons with Mozilla, IE and ...

Topic bookmarks as popups work in Chrome, not in Mozilla
Working in Flare 2017 r3. Tri-pane format. Set up bookmarks as popups in a topic. In Preview mode for same topic, the popup works as expected, displaying the content it is linked to. <p>To update existing record settings, left-click the <a href="#Edit_2" target="_popup">EDIT</a> button.</p> When ...

Project Analysis: Links shown as broken aren't
Both in Analyzer and Project Analysis, I find that most of the links listed as broken are not broken. This makes it hard to find the links that really are broken. Today, in Project Analysis, In every single instance, the "Folder column = "Content/" and the Type column = "Missing File. " #1 ...

Re: snippet looks different in editor
Careful testing showed that the fourth snippet used in a tested topic (row 13) was directly responsible for invalidating the color (#8b4513) assigned to CCS > p.KRY_tip ( rows 1 & 9). It appeared in black, instead. The font-weight (Bold), however, was not affected. The entire topic is comprised of a ...

Re: Previewing Topics in Contributor
My reviewers would also LOVE to have a preview function in their versions of (full license) Contributor that duplicates the version found in Flare. Reviewers want to see and edit clean text, not the tags and frames that a tech writer has to deal with. Zakk's comment was dated 2011, I believe. This ...

Re: Flare can't send Contributor pkgs by email
I took the advice offered and reported issue as a bug.
However, in researching the issue, I noticed that while my Outlook is 32-bit, my Windows system is 64-bit. Is it possible that the Windows setting is having an adverse impact on the process?

Re: Horizontal spacing of drop down icon issue
Good eyes! Well, previously, I had a standard <P> tag. But since my <P> tag had a Box > Margin: > 1.12em 0, I thought that the text might be adding a margin between itself and the icon. So I created a no indent version in hopes that it would make a difference. It did not. I went back to the <p> tag ...
