Embedding HTML5 Output in Existing Android App
Anyone have a few tips for prepping HTML5 output for publishing, so it's packaged neatly for devs for inclusion in an Android app? The ask is to embed an HTML5 responsive output into an Android tablet app, which a user would access by pressing Help within the app. Developers do not want the tablet t...

Apply Version Label to Bound Bitbucket Repo
I would like to keep using the same Repo, but I want to be able to label the last known final version of my help system to correspond with the software version so that I can always revert or call it up if needed. I don't see this option of labeling in the GUI of the source control window, so what do...

Font Awesome in PDF Output?
I'm single sourcing through one stylesheet. For Font Awesome calls, I'll refer to the web link. This works fine for my html5, but all of the fonts do not display in PDF output. If I'm expecting all of those fonts to appear in the print output from the same css file, do I need to install the fonts on...

Mimic Bubble Shape with Line, Anchor and Text Box combo?
I like the fact that bubbles feature a way to anchor the end point, move the rectangle with the text in it, and resize based on the text in the bubble (especially if translations are needed or smaller sizes). However, I don't like the way the bubbles look. I just want to use a single arrow with head...

Re: Top Nav menu symbols
Just to add on - I know this is about the top nav, but I've also received the same feedback about the side menu sepecifically. Any unique advice for implementing open/close fonts for the side menu vs the top nav?

Re: Always open hamburger slide out?
Thanks for the answers. I too like the side menu, and have just moved it to the left so it's not butting up against content . It turned out that was the source of the feedback I was hearing, that the side menu seemed to be "in the way." Within these responses there's a suggestion to edit w...

Re: Always open hamburger slide out?
It sounds like I'm going against the grain here, but if possible to always keep open, still let me know. But no biggie - I'll probably steer away from this option, working instead on keeping the side menu on the left of the page. The other option to create a custom portal just to simulate a top nav ...

Always open hamburger slide out?
Problem: I have a manager who wants top nav, but likes the top nav on the left side and does not like tripane. I have users who don't know how to click the hamburger button to open the menu. If they get it, the menu closes after they navigate to a new topic Solution: If I set the tablet break point ...

Re: How to offer Online Help, not require login and keep hid
The robots.txt directives are nothing else than friendly recommendations. Most of the commercial bots adhere to these directives, but there is nothing in any standard (or law) that requires them to do so. What can happen is that your users share the link to the help or your competitors target a web...

How to offer Online Help, not require login and keep hidden?
I want to make sure that the HTML5 Top Nav online help I create with Flare is not easily stumbled upon by any Internet user, or competitor. My Online Help users will be using a direct link from the application, to get to the Online Help homepage, without needing to log in. I'm hearing that I may add...
