EDIT: Background images wrong size after move to Windows 10
Hi everyone, I just re-installed Flare 2017 r3 on my new laptop. This one runs Windows 10; the previous one ran Windows 7. When I open my Flare projects, some background images are the wrong size. They show up too large in the print preview and also in the generated PDFs. I had the issue with an .ep...

Re: Avoiding Repetitive Style Specifications
Hi Linda, You can apply two (or more) classes to the same element. I usually open the text editor, and type the two required class names separated by a space. For example, to add .class1 and .class2 to a <p>, your code would be: <p class="class1 class2">Your text.</p> In the Home ribbon, i...

Re: Bullets Not Staying in DIVs
Glad things are working for you now.
Html and css can be quirky; that's why I love snippets. I just put the 'difficult' code in a snippet, insert it in the topic, convert it to text and then edit the content. Lifesaver.

Re: Dropdown heads and PDF styles
I've given up as well, and I've switched to togglers. It keeps my pagination in the PDF as it should be and looks just like a drop-down in HTML5 output. And the collapse/expand all button works on it as well. A drawback: a toggler collapses/expands only one element (one <p>, one <table>, one <div>.....

Re: Bullets Not Staying in DIVs
Hi jimgilliam, The structure bar seems to indicate that your <ul>element is inside your <p> element; and it doesn't show the <div> element. I copied your code and tried it; looks fine and it keeps the bulleted list inside the div with the border. To compare, here's what my structure bar looks like w...

Re: Dropdown style configurations not appearing in HTML5 out
Hi Wendy_Pod, I have something similar - targets to PDF and HTML5, and some selectors working perfectly in PDF but not in HTML5. The solution (that worked for me) is to make the selectors in the HTML5 formatting more specific. For example, instead of just: div p I had to use selectors like: div + p ...

Re: Content within a div spills into the footer in the PDF b
HI Judy,
Not sure if you still need a reply to this one, but have you tried:
- setting page-break-inside to auto
- removing the height setting?
I have divs that are sometimes several pages long and this seems to work for me.

PDF font type support (otf) - I'm confused
Hi all, I have noticed that MadCap does not embed my .otf fonts in a PDF as I would expect. In the fonts list in Acrobat, the fonts are shown as Type1 (CID), Encoding Identity-H. However, if I use exactly the same fonts in Adobe InDesign, the resulting PDF will show the font as Type1, Encoding Ansi ...

Re: Problem with Preview in PDF option
Hi everyone, I had the same error message after I installed Acrobat Pro DC. I found some info on the Adobe Forums (https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2228273). You need to install Acrobat Reader after Acrobat Pro, apparently. Looks like you were on the right track, SteveS. This worked for me: 1. Close ...
