Unable to link from one PDF to a Bookmark in another PDF
I have two projects. Project1 has a HTML5 target and a PDF target. Project2 has only a PDF target. In Project2, I create a Named Destination (essentially a bookmark). In Project1, I create a Hyperlink to that PDF/bookmark in Project2. Basically, the hyperlink in the markup looks like this: filename....

Re: "Specified path, file name or both too long" for NetHelp
Figured it out. The path to where my project was located was too deep. By shortening some of the directory names, I was able to make the problem go away. I think this is a limitation of the Windows file system.

"Specified path, file name or both too long" for NetHelp
I have successfully built a NetHelp target before (several years ago; probably pre version 6). Now when I try to build it I get "The specified path, file name or both are too long. The fully qualified file name must be less than 260 characters, and the directory name must be less than 248 chara...

Re: latest Windows version and DocToHelp
I am having a similar problem. My projects sit on my dard drive, but wanted to move them to a folder that is synced with OneDrive. This, of course, is just another folder on my hard drive, but it just happens to be synced to OneDrive. However, I can't get this to work. Basically, when you do this, t...

Re: Relative paths in Word to linked files
Ended up having to write a macro that converted all of the Insert Picture links to an Include Picture field code. That seems to respect relative paths. Of course, no comments/help at all from Microsoft on this. They don't explain anywhere why Insert Picture and Include Picture are treated differentl...

Re: Relative paths in Word to linked files
No that does not work. That is exactly what I do (although I have always used "Link" instead of "Insert and Link"). In both cases, however, the link is absolute, not relative. Hence, when the project gets moved, it does not work...

Re: Relative paths in Word to linked files
Yes, I found this one myself. It does not work. By the way, it appears that unlike Word 2003, inserted images (inserted via the Insert|Picture) are not represented as field codes in Word 2013. Alt-F9 does nothing.

Relative paths in Word to linked files
This is really a Word question, not a D2H question, but it has me stymied on my D2H project and I am dumbfounded by it and can't find any good solutions online. I have a large D2H project with thousands of linked images (bmp). The source documents were all done in Word 2003 (.doc files). I recently ...

I was not aware of that function! That would have saved me a bit of effort. However, it looks like my hack actually worked any...

Converting .doc source files to .docx - will this work?
I converted to D2H 3 (and subsequently 4) with a very large project and when I did, I discovered a major issue: When creating a Print Manual Target, none of my linked graphics (bmp screenshots) scaled. That is, in the Source documents they were scaled (say to 70%), but in the Target document they al...
