Hover images hidden by header
I have a hover style on images but when they are placed near the top of the topic, the header covers the image. I have tried changing the position of the images, reduced the size (which I don't really want to do ) and changed the z-index property but to no avail. Does anyone know which CSS property ...

Question about . Net Smart Client
Hi all
Has anyone created documentation for an application using . Net Smart Client technology? If so, what output type did you use? I am minded to use HTML5, or is DotNet Help outputs a better way?
Kind regards
Michelle

Re: jquery.min.js interfering with madcap.js in Flare 13 R3
We use quite a few JS files as we have Online Help that sits in our broader company website.
I don't understand why the actual Madcap proxies are not displaying as expected.

jquery.min.js interfering with madcap.js in Flare 13 R3
Has anyone encountered an issue with using jquery.min.js in Flare 13 R3. We use the breadcrumb and menu proxies in the master page but they are not displayed when we build the output. Madcap have confirmed that they cannot ensure that the jquery.min.js. gets run at a time that doesn’t interfere with...

Removal of Title info from topics generated by Doc 2 Help
Hello all, I have a query about why the titles of topics would be removed when Doc 2 Help generates  output. I have never used Doc 2 Help and therefore am no expert, but my engineering team use it to process the Flare output that Tech Comms provides. They are concerned about the removal of the ...

Re: Default.htm generated when I want Index.html
Thanks for your replies. Just to clarify I don't think I was confusing the two fields. I am aware that setting the Startup file will be the first topic that Flare displays, and regarding the Output File and Output Folder fields, Flare uses the settings to send the output files to the Output folder, ...

Default.htm generated when I want Index.html
Hi, Please help me. I am generating an HTML Help 5 deliverable and I have the Startup Topic set as /Content/index.html but when I build the Help a Default.htm is being created, and displayed when I view the Output from the Flare IDE. Any idea why the Default.htm is being as created? Thank you in adv...

Thanks for the reply.
The menu proxy approach might work. I will give it a go.
Thanks!

Multiple TOCs in a tripane HTML5 output
Can you have multiple Flare Tocs for a target?
Each long topic would have its own Flare TOC displayed in a tripane design.
Is this possible with Madcap Flare out of the box?
TIA

Generate list of topic headings in side panel with a proxy?
Hi
Is there a proxy that can be modified so that it displays a list of the Heading 1 and 2s from the current topic? I have looked at the mini-toc and list of proxies but out of the box they don't seem to do what I want.
Thanks in advance.

Use of different designs in HTML5 outputs
Hello I am trying to link to a tripane HTML5 skin/target from a HTML5 main target deliverable. However, the main target's skin and master pages are 'overriding' the tripane view. Is there anyway of having 2 designs created from one target by using the Select Flare Project and Target ...(for runtime ...

Multiple TOCs in a tripane HTML5 output
Hi all, Does anyone know if Flare can support two TOCs on the left-hand side of tripane HTML5 Help? The first one would act as a filter for the second TOC, and then selecting an entry in the lower TOC would change the content on the right-hand side. Any thoughts on this would be wonderful. Thank you...

HTML5 tripane skin - no TOC displayed on webserver
Hello I hope someone can shed some light on why when I build my project using a HTML5 tripane skin, the left hand side table of contents is not displayed. I think it is something to do with the Foundation framework and the files that Flare does or doesn't upload to a server. A speedy response with a...
