Re: Central Reviews - How to Hide Tags
Thank you for your response. I actually just got a reply from MadCap Support stating that there is no way to remove the tags from the Review items, so we will have to determine how much of a hardship this would be for our reviewers.

Central Reviews - How to Hide Tags
Hello all! Is there a way to stop the visual tags (the square brackets) from displaying in the Review items in Central? It makes the content difficult to review. I cannot find any way to toggle these on/off in Central, and hiding them in Flare prior to sending them to Central for review does not hav...

Re: File size limit when uploading to SharePoint?
I just ran into this problem for the first time. Did anyone who worked with MadCap Support get some information on how to get around this size cap? Thank you!

Ha, thank you for the reminder that editing the code directly was an option we have!
Yes, this appears to be a new error with the v2019 r2 release.

I am interested in the reply to this inquiry. I tried to enter a simple HTML form into the footer of the Master Page and eventually gave up, instead opting for an email link.

Re: Understanding Global Project Linking
I find that most of the time that I'm Reimporting from the master project, it is because I am developing in a child project and realize that I need to set a new global variable or glossary entry. So de facto for me, I am doing a manual Reimport from Master in the child project immediately after maki...

Re: Git Remote Repository Disappears
Just so that this topic is not hanging unresolved forever, I'll report that our team is no longer having this issue. I think it was a matter of synchronization. I worked with MadCap Support, and after a cycle of getting reconnected to the repository and then using the Synchronize and Pull buttons in...

Cannot Rename File Tag
Hello, is anyone else having difficulties renaming File Tags in a File Tag Set (in the Advanced folder in Project Organizer)? I can add a new tag, but I cannot rename it from "NewTag" no matter what I try. This screen seems to function differently from other editors in Flare where you can ...

Git Remote Repository Disappears
My team authors in Flare (2018 r2 currently; working on pulling the trigger to move to 2019) and uses git (BitBucket) for source control (integrated Flare source control UI). Various members of my writing team are having issues with the specified remote repository "disappearing" on them, s...

Re: Where can I find my conflicts
I am with you, Adriana, if you are still there. I am told that I have a conflict, but I cannot resolve the conflict through taking action on that error message, and I cannot manually find my conflicts in Flare in order to resolve them. I am in need of help in this situation as well. Thanks!

Re: "Conflicts that require resolution"
I would like to res this thread because I am having this exact user experience. Prompted to resolve a conflict prior to pushing to Bitbucket, Yes and No buttons do nothing. Where can one manually seek out and resolve these conflicts so that source control functionality is restored? Thanks!

Flare Search, Glossary Entries, and Quotes
Good afternoon, users of MadCap Flare. I am hurting my head with a conundrum today. MadCap documentation on searching recommends that you use quotes when using multiple word search terms in order to get meaningful results. However, it seems like the use of quotes excludes glossary entries from being...

Re: Meaning of Build error 10086 One or more errors occurred
Hello, I want to respond to this thread to indicate that I had a successful build after I manually set the path for the build directory (at root, as suggested on numerous threads, in order to "unbury" it and shorten the full path). I'm not in love with this solution, but it worked, and I h...

Re: Meaning of Build error 10086 One or more errors occurred
Thank you for always being quick to respond and help, ChoccieMuffin. That looks like a very likely hypothesis for what is going on, as my username is more than double the length of my coworker's. That said, I am not finding a place where this can be configured. Someone in another thread opined that ...

Re: Meaning of Build error 10086 One or more errors occurred
Sorry to res this thread, but I started getting this error today under mysterious circumstances. My co-writer had just successfully built our master project an hour before, but when I tried it, the issue was persistent. I read another thread where the issue suddenly cropped up with seemingly no chan...

Re: PDF Builds Taking Hours
I just confirmed with my organization's technical support that they are unable to find an Analyzer folder in either our project folders or in the local hard drive location that Dave Lee provided (and they did confirm that they were able to see that location, just not the Analyzer folder). I have sub...

Re: PDF Builds Taking Hours
Thanks for your help as always, ChoccieMuffin. I executed another build, and it took the same amount of time. I have a few more tests to try, but I wanted to clarify something first: I was able to delete the Output folder of my project, but I was unable to find an Analyzer folder for it. I looked at...

PDF Builds Taking Hours
I feel like something simple is eluding me, but here is my situation. We have a project that we typically output as HTML5. The project is ~90 topics, liberal use of snippets, linked to a master project that houses the variables and CSS. It usually takes a few minutes to build the HTML5 output, but t...

Per ChoccieMuffin's comment, does this mean that this is not currently a feature in Flare? This functionality would be hugely useful for my team, as well.

Re: Global project linking - xref question
Thank you for that clarification. We really only have one live manual, and then a series of iterations of past revisions. The only time we would run into some complexity is when we are maintaining a "not yet live" version of some bit of content, like when we are working on projects. For th...

Re: Global project linking - xref question
I really appreciate these insights, so thank you. I have a three-person team that has good communication with each other, so I feel that this could be a workable plan for us. Perhaps we will gear up to fight the source control battle somewhere down the road. Thanks again!

Re: Runtime Merging: Build Failed Error
Hello, all. Thanks for your replies. I wanted to return to this thread to report on what I believe is the solution to my issue (for posterity). What seems to have been causing the problem was that the Output Folder on the target of both the master project and the child project were set to the same l...

Re: Runtime Merging: Build Failed Error
Thank you for that suggestion. It's interesting...I thought what I was doing WAS global project linking; my understanding of GPL was that content from the parent project flows down to the child projects via their individual import files, but nothing flows back up (i.e., there is no import file in th...

Runtime Merging: Build Failed Error
Hello all, first post on the forum. I have a master project and a child project (both utilizing the HTML5 - Tripane target), and I am trying to link to the child project in the master project TOC through runtime merging. I have been successful at this on occasion in the past, but for the last severa...
