Re: Global Project Linking vs. External Resources vs...Optio

I'm also interested in this, should anyone have found a solution to this?

I'm currently using project linking to house our "common" information such as legal statements, icons, etc.. however the way that Flare handles these results in quite a lot of duplicate data.
Of course when building a HTML5 ...

translation of SVG files using TM

Hi,

Has anyone ever tried to translate an SVG file using the Translation Memory database?
I'm able to successfully translate the text I want to translate using the text editor, however I can't use the translationMemory doing it that way.

Re: Flare 12 SSH + GIT - Certificate Specification

I have just fought this battle in Flare2017r3 and finally figured out how to do this by sheer trial & error.
As I have wasted a lot of time figuring this out, i'm hoping to save other people from having to do the same by posting this here.

The public key must have a specific format of "[type ...

MadCap Capture + PDF target

Hi,

I am having a very strange issue since I switched my images over to Capture to allow for easier annotation translation using Lingo .

Before, the images simply had a CSS image class that set the width to about 75% of the page width, and the height set to auto.
This worked great with the stock ...

Re: Advance conditional tags

We certainly could DIY this using scripts and implementing our own "syntax", but I was hoping that MadCap would have something in place already.
It's always better to try and use standard features than it is to create complex workarounds that break with the next update comes around.

Re: Advance conditional tags

Continuing on with this topic,
does anyone know if there is a way to change the include or exclude state of a conditionally tagged piece of content based on the value of a variable?

We have a project where we'd like to automatically generate the documentation (read: without human intervention ...

Re: Unable to build multi-language PDF target

Seems I managed to solve this by simply re-building it a third time

Unable to build multi-language PDF target

I've (partially) translated a Flare project in Lingo, and exported it back to a second Flare project, just so I could get a preview of what i'm doing is OK or not.

I then added the new language & corresponding project to the "Language" tab of the target I wish to use; however I can now no longer ...

Re: 2017 R2 broke all of my TOCs

I'm having the same issue with duplicate snippets, which is particularly interesting when they are used in the "Global" projects, as none of the child projects have a working TOC anymore.

from MadCap's support the only workaround for now is to convert the duplicates to snippets to text. Hardly ...
