Anyone know of what became of feature request #20510 as mentioned above? Was this ever integrated?

TFS:Single workspace, or 1 workspace per project?
Hi all, Those of you using TFS for source control, do you use a single workspace mapping in TFS, or do you have Flare create it's own workspace mapping for each project? I'm currently working with MadCap support to sort out an issue we are having with Flare remapping our TFS workspace mapping when w...

Re: Error with checking files in
Hey jenj, In case you haven't already figured this one out, TFS works best when the workspace mapping has the same name as your computer. If your computer name has changed, consider editing (or deleting and recreating) your workspace mapping in Visual Studio to ensure it is using the current compute...

(2) Set up a drive mapping for the parent 'projects' folder; e.g. set drive 'P:' to C:\Users\bob\Documents\projects\ I use the prompt 'subst' command for this: subst P: "C:\Users\bob\Documents\projects\" Hey Dave, I know this is an old post, but wanted to ask you about the behaviour of yo...

Re: Best practices for source control and branching in TFS
Hi Mark/BlueSkyM. Thanks so much for your reply. After some reading, I agree that branching seems to hold little benefit to most authoring setups, with the possible exception of a large project being co-authored concurrently. Not a workflow that our team plans on adopting. I love the tagging idea fo...

Re: Best practices for source control and branching in TFS
Hi Mark - wondering how you made out with your branching investigation? We are currently planning our TFS implementation and are trying to determine best practices for organizing content. We haven't implemented global project linking as yet, but would like to be able to do so with a minimum of angst...

Re: Flare so slow it's unusable
FWIW, I found installing the most recent .NET Framework https://www.microsoft.com/net/download/ ... rk-runtime made a real difference in Flare performance.

Anyone know how to modify the contrast settings of a screenshot in Capture? Can't find it in the help or anywhere else online.
Thanks!

My new favorite, F8 - repeat last task. Great when applying the same style/format in multiple places.
Also lovely, CTRL+SHIFT+H - quick access to the styles picker/menu.

Re: Dropdown style configurations not appearing in HTML5 out
Thanks David Lee - am still banging my head on this one and seem to have stumped MadCap support as well.
Rather than keep trying the same things that work so well for PDF output, I will next try creating a style for the class that gets created in the generated HTML5 output.

Re: Dropdown style configurations not appearing in HTML5 out
Thanks Annie - I'll give that a whirl.
I've been working with Madcap support and they haven't resolved this issue, but their attempts have bumped me in a few promising directions. I'll post any progress/resolutions I find.

Dropdown style configurations not appearing in HTML5 output
Help! I’m currently battling with styling a set of dropdown styles for my project in Flare 2017 r3. I have two main targets, PDF and HTML5. The dropdown heading styles are not rendering as expected in the HTML5 output. The goal for these two dropdown styles is to have their heading text match a set ...

Re: Undefined styles... on images?
Thanks for your reply Rene. Where would the span._Override be applied to the images? When I open the topics that include these images and view the styles applied, I do not see spans nor an _Override class applied. I've done a F&R for the project folder and cannot find _Override anywhere - not in...

Undefined styles... on images?
Hey all,
Getting a "new-to-me" set of outputs in my Undefined Styles report.
Anyone ever had it return undefined styles on images?
Seems very strange, and I can't see any metadata that might be carrying a style?!

Re: p style vs li style
A good case for using p styles for lists is to have xrefs to list items display the target step number in their output.

Re: Conditional text in headers not respected in Mini-TOC ou
Just in case anyone else is experiencing this issue - seems it's a bug in Flare 12.
MadCap support suggested upgrading to 2017r2 to resolve, employing the System.Linked title variable for the topics in question.

Thanks Nita.
It would be great to have an flowchart that explicitly showed where the various conditions come into play and the impact of include exclude at each gate.
Perhaps, someday, if time permits...

Re: MC:Conditions in CSS vs. Inline Conditions: Battle Royal
Thanks SteveS & Dave. Good to have that confirmed. Dave, yes, we have a condition tag for each product, ProductA/ProductB, with each explicitly excluding the other for their respective targets. Are you saying that if the same image is tagged inline for ProductA AND PrintOnly, with the target set...

MC:Conditions in CSS vs. Inline Conditions: Battle Royale?
Hi all, It seems the mc:conditions configured in my stylesheet are being beaten by inline conditions!? The whole story is below, but after not getting the conditional output expected in our targets, I did some digging, and found a note tucked on the bottom of this page in the MadCap help, http://hel...

Conditional text in headers not respected in Mini-TOC output
Hi all, First question, so bear with me! I have happily lurked and learned much for the collective wisdom here, and this is the first thing it seems no one else has already asked. Unexpected Mini-TOC output for conditional headers My project is conditionalized to support two product names, for examp...
