Re: Hi res "Print Version" images no improvement

Hello, Carl. Please submit a bug report at http://www.madcapsoftware.com/bugs/submit.aspx

If you could attach a sample project set up in the same way you have your project set up, with the images captured and configured in the same way, that will be helpful in suggesting a solution.

Re: Align segment issue with existing manual translated project

This is possible with Lingo. You will need to split the segments. To do this, select the segment containing the data you need to move below. Then click the "Split the current segment" button from the Alignment Tool toolbar. This opens the Split Segment window. Place the cursor where you'd ...

Re: Images appearing with a "._filename.png"?

I say this not in any official advice from MadCap, but as a Mac user. Just to clarify, the ._filename files are created when moving files from OS X to Windows through OS X. These are the resource forks of the files from OS X (where files have data forks and resource forks). You can Google for someth...

Please confirm that if this bug has been fixed in Flare 4. I am thinking of paying to upgrade from 3.1 to 4 if this bug is fixed.

Thanks,

Re: Some beginner questions

Unfortunately, the TMX files are not the files that need to be translated, but the result of completed translations. When you open a project in Lingo, the Flare topics are broken into strings - these strings are then translated by a translator. As each string is translated, that translation is saved...

Re: Snippet Suggestions suggestions

To clarify, to create snippets based on content, you will want to search for Frequent Phrases or Frequent Segments and create the snippets from the content. The Snippet Suggestions will allow you to replace content that is not snippets with snippets after they have been created.

At what point in the install does the issue arise? I run Flare in Parallels at home, and it works fine.

That is correct. The System Variables related to date update at compile time. They will not reflect the current time on the server where the output is hosted.
