I have about 115 (and growing) Word docs that are organized in subject-related folders outside of Flare. I have used several Flare import files to bring the content into Flare - each import ...

Active Directory
Can XEdit read an active directory entry for the reviewer and insert their name (initials) and today's date beside any edits in an XEdit doc sent out for review (in edit mode, i.e., not for annotation but to be changed.)?

Re: embedding multiple topics in a collection topic
Great suggestions, thanks (especially the one about keeping the heading separate; this will greatly enhance reusing the snippets). One more question. Now that I'm going to add some structure to my snippet files, is there anything I should be aware of if I rename existing snippets? These are general ...

Re: embedding multiple topics in a collection topic
oops - two more questions.
Can snippets be in a Table of Contents?
Can I simply move all the topics I've already created into the snippet folder, and rename the file extension from .htm to .flsnp?

Re: embedding multiple topics in a collection topic
3000 snippets? Am I able to use a directory structure for snippets? How will I ever find them again? What's the maximum filename size of a snippet?

embedding multiple topics in a collection topic
Please point me to an answer if one already exists... i looked under single sourcing and reuse but couldn't find anything to help.

Re: Changing Book Icon in TOC (selected only)
Absolutely SUPER! I used my graphics program to locate and alter the topic.gif, book.gif and bookopen.gif, recolouring them to match our corporate colours. Then I did the edits you suggested, blew away the output file and recompiled. Now I have a different colour for Concept and Reference topics ...

Changing Book Icon in TOC (selected only)
Is it possible to change the Book Icon (or colour) for only SELECTED topics in a TOC?

(I did an advanced search of all forums and subforums and couldn't find an answer so I hope this hasn't been asked before...)

Invalid characters in Alias files and can't start with 1
My developer has given me a list of identifiers that I am adding to my Alias file in order to link to CSH in my project.
The main identifier will link to Items.htm where there will be info about the Items workspace in our app. Its identifier is 3dda2b11-9171-45ab-a50b-a5dc3219664a, which I copied ...

Re: Adding "see..." index entries
oops... my bad. I am actually looking for the ability to add "Related Topics" or "See Also" links to the text in glossary definitions. Has that been added to Flare 4.1? Or should I put in a feature request?
