Re: How to control Window size for context-sensitive Help to
Hi, I have the same need. My developers seem to think they can fit the help in an iframe. That sounds bad, though. Surely by now (2020) we have a link somewhere on how to do that for a developer, yes? Thanks for any information you can guide me to.

Re: Images and CSS not being found on some Windows machines
I had a similar problem. When I'd test my CHM from my desktop, it looked great. But when I tested it from within the application by pressing <F1>, all formatting and pictures were lost. Thanks to Psider's comment above, I went to this link: http://kb.helpwaregroup.com/ms-html-help/mj-s-diagnostics A...

Re: A Gmail Help Experience
Thanks for your response! After I wrote this question, I realized it wouldn't be too hard to create if I mapped it right in the Master page. Excited to try it out!

A Gmail Help Experience
We are designing a new web-based product, and we need to implement help directly into the product. I've been relying on our application designer to tell me what he wants. He really likes the Web help design of Gmail (see below): gmailhelp.png I'm new to Flare, but I'm not new to content-sensitive he...

Sorry we missed this, Paul. We'll try to be more tuned it to this in the future.

Re: Any way AT ALL to exclude a topic from search?
We are really confident that the programmers are tying the wrong method to the F1 key. They're using a Keyword method instead of an A-keyword method. However, they will not change. They say it's too much work at this point. I am very intrigued by your idea of making the Master target search in child...

Re: Searches with multiple words don't return any results
If you could share your success with using Zoom as your search engine, I'd love to hear more. We are migrating over to Flare from HelpAndManual (or thinking about it. At this point, I'm not loving Flare--even though we already bought the software). With HelpAndManual, Zoom is very easy to implement ...

Re: Including .chms linked in master TOC in search results
Yes, I am familiar with context-sensitive help. That is what we have too, but it is accessed through putting your cursor in a field in the program and press F1, instead of by clicking on icon or hovering over a help question mark. We have a modular help system, which is a bunch of CHMs, and we as wr...

Re: Including .chms linked in master TOC in search results
Hi, I am Charles' associate. Yes, we are committed to having many CHMs tied together by a master. It's both a strength and a weakness. The strength is that search results show what screen the help is found on because each screen is its own chm. The weakness is that we have a lot of help files and th...

Best Way to Convert Over to Flare
I have been searching this forum but could not find my answer, so I thought I would ask it myself. We are new to Flare (greetings everyone!). We build our help two ways: 1) CHM files (over 300 of them) and (2) a searchable website. We have been using Help&Manual, which we love, but we see the mo...
