Re: how to block h1 from in-topic toc
Thank you so much for your reply. So, I am using the same Menu Proxy in two places, one set to "Headings" and the other set to TOC. But, I could create a second Menu Proxy and use the one I already have for Headings and the new one for TOC menu proxy. If my Headings menu proxy skin was nam...

how to block h1 from in-topic toc
Hi All, I have a HTML5 project I'm working on. The target is a top-nav style target. I've inserted a menu proxy and set the menu content to use "Headings". I'd like to block the h1 from the menu proxy so that my TOC only shows h2, h3, and h4. I know print output supports the use of the mc-...

linking a custom toolbar button to the project home page
Hi there, Hoping someone can help with this question. I created a custom toolbar button. When clicked, I want it to go to the project's homepage in the same tab. I don't know what to put in the Event > Click filed for the custom toolbar button. Right now, this is what I have: window.open("/Defa...

LibGit2Sharp Exception: the index is locked; this might be due to concurrent or crashed process
Hi All, We're using Flare and GitHub and I'm relatively new to the GitHub world. Yesterday, I committed my changes. Then I attempted to do a Pull Request. Flare hung up during the process and I ended up having to end task on Flare as it was completely locked up. Now, when I attempt to do a pull requ...

Re: Build Word target - Error 10086 Build failed
Nat,
Thanks for your follow up. Reading your notes helped me to track down the same problem. My H1 had a registered trademark symbol in it, which killed the build. Working on getting that removed and will retest. Thanks for the heads up.

Re: adding custom tabs in the tripane HTML5 Help system
Thanks, Paul. Appreciate the suggestion! I knew that the solution, if using OOB functionality, would be clunky.
Cheers,
Julie

adding custom tabs in the tripane HTML5 Help system
Hi Everyone, My team develops online help and outputs it in HTML5 Tripane format. At the moment, we only have a TOC tab in the Left pane (no index or glossary tabs). My PM is asking if we can add a custom tab where we can add links to videos and another tab where we can point to PDFs. We do have a c...

turning off the upgrade reminder
Does anyone know if there's a way to turn off the update/upgrade reminder that pops up every time you open Flare? We attempted to upgrade to the latest version and had trouble with our TFS integration. So, we rolled back to build 14.0.6738. We're too close to release to risk updating again. I'd like...

Re: Embedding Google Analytics GTAG and GTM Scripts
Hey Lorynj, Just wanted to let you know that your solution worked for us. We were struggling this this and then I found your post. We changed our code and, viola, no more compile errors. Thank you for providing the details that you did. They helped me and my tech guy sort out our issue, build, and p...

Google Analytics Config
Hi Everyone, I have an HTML5 system and am trying to get Google Analytics up and running. So far, it does not appear to be functional. Here's how I went about setting up the code. 1) I copied and pasted, using the internal text editor for Flare, the Google Analytics tracking code in the <head> tag o...

Re: Search result filter system
John, Were you ever able to figure this one out? We're endeavoring to allow users to select multiple products and search across all of the topics associated with those products, using search filters. However, it appears that search filter sets only allow a single filter set to be selected (drop-down...

Search filter sets for product lines
Hey Everyone, We're interested in implementing search filter sets in our HTML5 help system, but I'm not sure if it will work in the way we need it to. We have a product that has individual modules that can be purchased separately. But, collectively, the modules all belong to the main product. We wan...
