Re: Flare crashes when connecting to GIT
I ran into this problem Wednesday. Thanks to this forum, a work-around solution was achieved today ... after 48 hours of Madcap lockout (zero productivity). Now, I admit I am a bit cranky after two days of twiddling my thumbs, but this is a Madcap-sponsored (and moderated...I hope) forum. As such, i...

Re: Searching for the string "where" - Is it a magic word???
Nita, Thanks so much for the info and the pointer. I followed the link, which directs me to look for a check box for "Include stop-words in search box" in Proj Org > Target > Search > Search Results. There is no checkbox for that option. See screenshot. I also tried the next option for sol...

Searching for the string "where" - Is it a magic word???
We manage the documentation for a data system. In our query language, there is a method called where() . It is used to filter a table to any argument to the where() statement. e.g.,using where(AAPL) in a query would result in the table showing only content that contained the string AAPL . The docume...

Re: Linking to TOC subheads jumps browser to top of page ins
Thanks whunter ! I was concerned the problem was systemic (not user-based). To confirm, the listings in the TOC work absolutely fine - as intended. It's cross-linking from other pages and URL extraction to email when the jump-to-top behavior occurs. Would love to hear from the Madcap Team for an ETA...

Re: Linking to TOC subheads jumps browser to top of page ins
Thank you very much for the suggestion, but the MSWord "hangover" can't be blamed in this set of docs. We drank lots of water before going to bed (building the project).

Linking to TOC subheads jumps browser to top of page instead
I'm using HTML SideView Nav layout. Consider the following TOC structure: Each "Topic" pertains to a new page/new file; all subtopics pertain to H2 to H5 headings on that respective Topic page. The TOC settings are set to automatically build the subtopics (in the TOC) for that page: Topic ...

Re: Project Analysis: Links shown as broken aren't
Thanks for this answer. It's been driving me bonkers. Bottom line: Ultimately Windows OS is case-insensitive. However, the problems with renaming/changing capitalization in directory and filenames materialize through Madcap ...even when you change the directory names and filenames in Madcap. :twiste...

I'm hesitant to be too optimistic before I try this, but it makes complete sense! Thanks so much for the pointer! Will follow up with more praise shortly....I hope.

Re: 1 Project/5 docs - Repeating Content in Each
Actually, there are multiple TOCs in 3 of the 5 documents. They have considerable depth of content/topics. Despite that, I would think a single "target" would include only the content for that target, versus all content for all five targets. Frankly, that is another issue I'm having. There...

1 Project/5 docs - Repeating Content in Each
I have one portal for documentation. It contains 5 different docs. I do it this way to ensure Search is enabled across all docs. In Madcap, each of the five docs has its own destination and target - typically each doc has its own directory structure in the portal. For example, assume the portal dire...
