WebHelp won't display
We have a customer whose Flare-generated webhelp will not display. All he gets is a blank window with the title of our Help file displayed in the title bar. He's running Firefox 11 on a Windows 7 64 bit machine. Everything is installed on the local machine. Anyone else encounter this sort of problem...

How do I change the font size in the glossary pane?
The glossary terms (and their linked definitions) that display in my webhelp glossary pane are larger than I would like. How do I change them to my standard "small" font-size?

Re: IE 9 update crashes chms when linking to a nonHTML file
I've been recommending for several years that we switch to webhelp for all of the reasons mentioned. There's been resistance because of the number of files and the need to rewrite the context sensitive links, and other issues beyond my control. Perhaps this will be the issue that swings opinion arou...

Re: IE 9 update crashes chms when linking to a nonHTML file
I agree with you, generally speaking. I also know that when you have a large user base there will be a number of users who just automatically update to the latest browser. When their application crashes as a result they will be putting additional load on our customer service line. Part of my job is ...

Re: IE 9 update crashes chms when linking to a nonHTML file
Telling users they can't can't run our application under Windows 7 because of a Help issue would be unacceptable not only to our users but to the rest of my company. Our software is fully compatible with Windows 7 except for this issue. Luckily, we only have 4 pdfs we're linking to, so I've converte...

IE 9 update crashes chms when linking to a nonHTML file
It is my understanding that back in the summer the IE9 update caused a crash when the chm attempts to link to a non-html file (such as a pdf or a doc). I've seen this reported in numerous places and I have since discovered that our CHMs crash when the user clicks on one of our links to a pdf buried ...

Incorrect Fonts in PDF Target
Our corporate standard for print materials is Trade Gothic LT Std Bold for headings and Gotham Book for body text (not my choice but that's what I have to live with). I need to deliver a 800-900 page PDF manual, but although outputting to a Word Printed Documentation target uses the fonts correctly,...

Re: Graphics & Tables over 2 columns in PDF Output
This works fine for graphics, but that setting doesn't seem to have any effect on my tables. Is there a way to set up the tables so that they don't go beyond a column width?
Thanks for your help.
Thanks for your help.

Re: Graphics & Tables over 2 columns in PDF Output
i'm not understanding. Where, specifically, is this set? is it for each image individually, or is there some sort of general setting? What effect does it have on the output?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Graphics & Tables over 2 columns in PDF Output
I'd like to reformat our rather long User's Guide into 2 columns using Flare's PDF output. But since a large number of our graphics and tables are wider than a single column they overprint the other column when outputting to PDF. Are there settings I can use to prevent this and make the PDF flow cor...

AddtoFavorites button missing from Embedded Topic Toolbar
I just upgraded to V5 and added the embedded topic toolbar, specifying these tools: expand all, collapse all, add topic to favorites, and quick search. Even after endlessly fiddling with the settings, everything shows up except the AddtoFavorites tool. Am I missing something or is this a bug? Accord...

Default Madcap Toggler Image
Is there a way for us to change the arrow right/down image the Madcap Toggler uses? I'd like to use something slightly larger, with a more-defined arrow. For those of us with aging eyes, that arrow is a little hard to make out.
