Re: CSH - Developer using alias.xml but. . . .
I'm experiencing an interesting situation relevant to header and alias files, plus issues around potentially needing multiple header files. I think that replying to this thread would be more ideal than starting a new one. Setting up and expanding CSH has been quite the adventure for me over the past...

Re: CSH Default Page
Yeah, that's what I was afraid of .
I have a possible band-aid solution of adding my own script on the home page to parse the URL with the cshid anchors in it, but we'll see if I actually end up using it.
As always, thanks for the response, Dave

CSH Default Page
Hey guys, I have a quick CSH-related question (working with html5 output) : is it possible to default to a topic other than the home page of a site when a CSH link is broken? My understanding: The cshid "anchor" is appended to the URL of the main entry file to the site (ie: blabla.com/blab...

Re: Using CSH with a synchronized navigation project?
Ah, thanks for the response, Nita.
I actually found this topic by searching for an answer, so I'm a tidbit surprised that I didn't find that other one on my own .
Anyways, yeah, I'll submit a bug report, too.

Re: Using CSH with a synchronized navigation project?
@devjoe I'm in the process of figuring out CSH right now, and my bookmark IDs aren't functioning properly. In a demo project, I set up a few IDs that direct to bookmarks. I also have a bare-bones html file with the html and js "buttons" that launch the content when clicked. When I click th...

Re: Forcing the side menu to display
Ahhhh, ok (yes, I was talking about a menu proxy). I think that I'll be able to make it work. Thanks, Dave!

Forcing the side menu to display
Hello, everyone! I haven't found anything here on the forum similar to the issue I'm facing, so I figured it's time to create a new topic. My Understanding: My understanding is that when a topic is *not* added to the ToC but *is* hyperlinked/xrefed to somewhere else in the project, it will still get...

Re: Create an image map without right-clicking
Hey RRemmele, that's a good idea. Unfortunately the actual image "block" does not appear on the side. The div shows up, but not the image.... I don't know why :S. jjw, one problem is that I'm not able to right click on the image at all because it disappears. We think it has something to do...

Create an image map without right-clicking
Hello, Madcappers! Does anyone know if Flare offers a method of creating an image map aside from right-clicking on the image and selecting "Image Map"? Long story short: my styles are not jiving with Flare. I need to apply a certain class to a div wrapping the image map before I create the...

Re: Will index keywords improve search functionality if...
Thanks, Dave :) My understanding is that adding an index to an html output will significantly increase build times. I disagree with that. I'd be surprised if there's a noticeable increase. oh really!? I'll have to test it out to see what(or if) the effect is. We have a pretty huge project, so we'll ...

Will index keywords improve search functionality if...
... the index is not enabled in the skin? My understanding is that adding an index to an html output will significantly increase build times. Additionally, my team's project won't actually rely/use an index, we just want to improve our search accuracy. My research so far leads me to think that yes, ...

Re: List numbers in a PDF output
Ah, that's a good idea, aj, I'll have to see if that was related to the issue! @Psider - I've tried toying around with page breaks, but ultimately it doesn't work well since some steps have a decent chunk of content that I wouldn't want to bump to the next page. I sorta "hacked" the issue ...

List numbers in a PDF output
Hey there, I uploaded an image of an odd issue I'm having. I've done a fair bit of research from a general Google search, but haven't found anything remotely relevant (styling PDFs with html/css isn't the most common thing in the world...). Let me explain the attached screenshot: The middle of the i...

Re: IDs and Outputs
Each target/output can also have it's own alias file, which you set on the target's Advanced tab. Ahh! I think that should be my answer! For further clarity: an example would be conditioning navigational differences in the UI within the topic - a procedure would have two lines for the same step con...

IDs and Outputs
Hey guys, So I have a long-term project to try and implement context sensitive help into my company's product (online application). I did a bunch of research a few months ago to understand how Flare handles CSH (with topic IDs), and I think I have a decent understanding.... Having said that, I'm att...

Re: CSH Clarification
When the app calls the help, the app generates the identifier on-the-fly based on the internal form name of that particular window/dialog, which is unique to that form. The key benefit of this is that identifiers don't need to be hard-coded in the application, which massively reduced the initial wo...

CSH Clarification
Hey there everybody, I'm a fairly new Flare user trying to figure out context sensitive help, and I'd really appreciate it if someone could just make sure I'm on the right track and hopefully answer a few questions  Here is my general understanding of how to implement CSH with Flare: I need to...

Tiny Icons and Overlapping Settings Fields
(Sorry for the ginormous screenshots :P) Edit: I found this page https://forums.madcapsoftware.com/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=27784&p=130870&hilit=small+icons#p130870 which might help me out, but I don't think it addresses my other issue - if it's an issue at all - regarding the inability to s...
