Re: Linking Landing page with no skin to Help topics with sk

This is embarassing, but in case my admission might help someone else, here goes... My external links opened the topic I wanted, but without the skin I expected because I linked to the topics in the regular content folder. I corrected the links to point to the topics in the output content folder. :o...

Re: Linking Landing page with no skin to Help topics with sk

The 8 links from the second landing pages that go to the actual help will be external links - you'll specify the link just like you were linking to an external web site. I tried that, but the startup topic opens without the skin, so it appears to be inheriting from the landing page project. I'll tr...

Linking Landing page with no skin to Help topics with skin

I've tried to find answers on my own, but I'm coming up empty and I hope someone can help me. I'm trying to create an HTML5 project that behaves as follows: Landing page 1, on which the user clicks one of four images that represents the application they want help with. Landing page 2 opens, on which...

Re: How to Indent a Single TOC Entry

Gave it a shot and applied a left margin to new h1.indented style, but it affects the topic page and not the skin. I tried changing the unclassified>mc-toc-depth, but that didn't work, either.

Thanks for the suggestion, though!

How to Indent a Single TOC Entry

I'm working with an HTML5 target. I have an H1 that is a single topic and I don't want to use an icon for it. Here is how it currently appears: TOC.PNG How can I indent the "Licensing" H1 so that it lines up with the "Dashboard" H1 (as though it was a hanging indent)? I know how ...

Re: Embedded font in HTML5 skin

I went with (b) and it works like a charm now.

Thanks, Dave - You are brilliant and wonderful!

Re: Embedded font in HTML5 skin

Thanks so much, Dave. Apologies for my late response. I've done as you suggested, but results are mixed in that it only works in a couple of my projects. I can't for the life of me figure out why it won't work in my current project. It's quite a large project that has had multiple authors so the sty...

Embedded font in HTML5 skin

I've found the following solution to getting my custom font applied to my project's skin: http://kb.madcapsoftware.com/Content/Misc/GEN1018Z_-_Embedding_Fonts_in_HTML5_Outputs.htm (See the Optional section) It solves my problem, but it requires me to perform this procedure every time I build the pro...

Re: PDF build not finding fonts on server

Thanks again, Dave. At least I've figured out how to default to a 2nd choice of font if the custom font isn't found, so no more Times New Roman!

Re: PDF build not finding fonts on server

Thanks for the response, Dave.

I'm still in beginner mode with Flare, so I appreciate your patience. You'd indicated in a previous post that you'd gotten font-face to work with CHM, so I'm confused. Is there no way to get my custom font to appear in my CHM output?

Re: PDF build not finding fonts on server

Did MadCap support say that font-face would work with PDFs? I've never got font-face working for PDF outputs, so I'd assumed it doesn't work. So when I build PDFs, I install the font in Windows. I can only get font-face working for HTML5 help, WebHelp, and CHM. I was successful in using @font-face ...
