Re: Making Image Map hotspots respond to a mouseover.
Thanks for your replies. Think I will live with the hotspots as they are as it is fairly clear they can be clicked on when you point the cursor at them, as the cursor changes style. It would have been nice for them to act more like proper buttons, as this would be more consistent with the existing s...

Making Image Map hotspots respond to a mouseover.
Hi. Does anyone know how to make an Image Map hotspot respond when you point the cursor at it, to convey that it's a button? Not sure if this is possible. I'm using HTML5. Thanks

How to format Tips and Notes
I am thinking of ways to improve the style of Tips and Notes that are used in the HTML5 output. I would like to achieve something like the following, if possible, which appears to use coloured tables with rounded corners. Any advice appreciated. Thanks

Changing the styles for glossary items in HTML5
I have added some glossary terms in a topic using the HTML5 output. Can someone tell me how to change the colour of the text, and the style of the associated icon in the topic (not in a search result). Thanks for any advice.

Search recommendations
Hi. Can anyone recommend the best approach to configuring the Search for HTML outputs. If I select 'Partial word searching' in the target, the build times are very slow. Without this selected, I don't think the search works effectively, as you cannot search on a partial word. I was wondering if ther...

Adding nested tables in HTML5 output.
Hi. I sometimes have to add another table within an existing table row. Can anyone offer any tips for doing this please. I have tried a couple of approaches, but keep messing up the formatting of the table content. For example some table rows are increased in hight. I am quite new to Flare, so may b...

Thanks both. I meant searching for the string that is inside the <title> tag of the topic. So you have answered my question. Much appreciated.

Searching on topic title
Hi, Is it possible to search for a topic in Flare using the title of the topic, rather than its name. I assume so, but cannot see how to do it. Thanks for any advice.

Re: Migrating from RoboHelp 2017 to Madcap Flare
Thanks very much for your insights. Did you have any problems with the CSS file? For example, did the table styles import OK? I was just wondering if I might have to apply table styles differently in Flare. Cheers.

Changing the style of the HTML5 Side Navigation skin
Hi. In the HTML5 Side Navigation skin, you can expand folders using an arrow icon. This is to the right of the folder. Does anyone know if it possible to display this arrow on the left please? I think this would look better. I was wondering if there is a setting in the GUI that controls this. I am u...

Bookmarks in HTML5 output do not display correctly
I have a search bar at the top of each topic, which is defined in the master page. This typically works OK, but when I click on a link to bookmark in a topic, the linked-to topic is obscured by the search bar. Is it possible to move this topic down a little so that the required content is not obscur...

Re: Adding a link to the top of each topic
Hi. Thanks very much for your post. It was really useful. I added the "position:fixed" code to CSS as a paragraph style. I then associated this style with the relevant paragraph on the master page, for the button. The fix works perfectly.

Adding a link to the top of each topic
I need to add a link to each topic that goes to the top of the topic. I have done this on the master page, but the link is is permanently at the bottom of the page. Can I change this so it is always displayed in long topics, regardless of whether you have scrolled to the bottom of the topic.

Thanks for your reply. This is actually for a second image in the header that goes to the startup topic. I have just got this working by adding a URL to this topic in the master page.
