Compliance Documentation (ISO, Soc2< FedRamp, etc.)
Is anyone using MadCap Flare for compliance documentation such as for ISO 27001 and similar Certifications? If so, do you have any advice you are willing to share?
Thank you!
Thank you!

ISO Compliant Docs and Flare
Just doing some research and I was wondering what are the issues when creating ISO Documentation with Flare. I am especially interested in template creation and issues.
I appreciate any input.

Re: flare <-> lingo round trip
John, it will always be a round-trip because that's by design and that's how you maintain version consistency. You open the project in Lingo and then select the update option. After the update you send the updated changed files for translation. Afterwards you re-import the files into the lingo proje...

Sara,
if you open Lingo and go under Options, there is a Translation memory Tab where you can specify lower match values.

Re: Making Lingo exporting only actually UPDATED files
First of all, now that you have listed the languages, using a pivot languages does make sense. In regards to your alignment you are correct thats a big challenge especially with these languages involved. My suggestion would be to check and see if you can convince your superiors to approve the one ti...

Re: Making Lingo exporting only actually UPDATED files
Riccardo, having reviewed your post here I have a couple of questions for you. Can you list all languages needed, because I am having a difficult time seeing why you need a pivot language? If you have the English and the relevant, why cant you not align? If the documentation matches up (version-wise...

Re: Error message when merging Trados translation
You are correct. Its an issue with compatibility and workflow. The best way handling this is to unzip and maintaining the structure and then create a Studio project using the structure. However, keep in mind that XLIFF and SDL XLIFF are different and the vendor needs to make sure that the coding mat...

Re: Error message when merging Trados translation
To help you out I have a few questions. I am assuming that you exported the project as a XLIFF bundle.
Which version of Lingo are you using?
Which version of Trados is the vendor using?

Re: Machine translation different to suggestion
Depending on your setting it might has updated the translation memory. If you open Lingo and Go under Options, and then to the translation memory there is a checkmark for updating translations. If this one is checked the translation memory will be updated with the "new" translation and goi...
