My project is single-source with HTML5 and Print (PDF) targets/outputs. On my topic pages, I have DIVs that contain a graphic to the left, a background colour, and space for text. They look like this: DIV on topic page.PNG DIV 2 on topic page.PNG I've just Build Primary and those DIVs have no forma...

Yes, that does open the project but my colleague informs me that when the user clicks on a topic the portal will be looking for an Index page instead?Chicago_HPT wrote:What happens if you double-click the Default file in the root folder? That should open your project.

Published project-lost top Nav/layout a mess [FIXED]

The files in my project have been split up as follows - level 1: portalfolder_1.PNG T o view the project, I have to double-click the Index file but this is located in a level 2 folder/C...

Re: One-touch Print function - print all sub-topics in TOC
I suspect you'd have to provide a separate PDF that contains all the sub-topics if you want to be able to allow the user to print the whole section. I could be wrong, but I don't think so. Thank you ChoccieMuffin :) Took your advice and did the following and it's worked lovely : I set my Destinatio...

Re: One-touch Print function - print all sub-topics in TOC
Not sure. Just try it out. I have set my target as Print , amended my Stylesheet Print medium to expand all thumbnails. On preview/build of my Print target, the images are expanding as expected, and those that are not, I am manually adjusting their print size by right-clicking on the affected image...

Nita and Shredder - brilliant advice thank you.
Now you've helped me fix the font size on the TOC by adjusting the p.TOC1 in my Stylesheet, my front page looks good as follows:

font size - how to reduce on TOC page [FIXED]
For my printed output, I won't use the auto-generated TOC. I have therefore created a topic page and named it printTOC. This page consists of a header and Madcap output toc proxy [/u]: printtoc_1.PNG When I build my print output, the font in my table of content page is too large: printtoc_4.PNG In ...

If you are concerned about backups (and that's a good idea), consider putting the project into source control. Alternatively, but less ideal, use Flare's Project > Zip Project function and put the .flprjzip file it creates up on OneDrive. I often do the latter prior to putting a project in source c...

Re: No text wrap in print output-/PDF [FIXED]
If you have a Madcap Tech Support level, I suggest you contact them, because the hyphenation rule set on body SHOULD work. They may be able to spot if there's something odd in your stylesheet. Definitely worth contacting them. I contacted them the same day I posted on here. I sent them my ZIP file ...

Yes my PDF and Print had the same settings.Psider wrote:I notice you have a pdf medium as well. Did you also change that, assuming that's what you use for the pdf output? Setting it only for print medium would then only apply when printing a web page, if I remember correctly.

Re: No text wrap in print output/PDF
 The mc-hyphenate -never has finally worked. I had to go onto my topic pages and manually highlight cells/td in my tables and set Hyphenate to never . I also had to do this for my paragraphs. Sadly, simply adding mc-hyphenate -never to the stylesheet's body, paragraph etc wasn't enough, althou...

Re: Thumbnails not expanding fully in PDF output
I decided to do some tests: I tried to fit other images, that were displaying well on other pages, onto the page that wasn't displaying so well. Turns out the images affected were in fact not captured with a wider screen resolution which is why they were not expanding fully across the PDF output. R...
