Re: Delimiter requirements for "Paste Table"?

And Psider, that is exactly what we are doing now. The devs supplied me with an HTML-tagged table after I sent them a sample table from Flare and I just drop it in code view in a new topic as you described. Only thing I have to do after that is apply a table style.

Re: Delimiter requirements for "Paste Table"?

Nita,
Thanks for mentioning that. Markdown is in fact one of the options the software team is considering. I'll let you know how it turns out if we go that route.

Re: Delimiter requirements for "Paste Table"?

Yes, thanks, that would certainly work, but what the developers are looking to do is create output that I can directly dump into Flare, without having to do any intermediate steps. We want as streamlined a process as possible.

Delimiter requirements for "Paste Table"?

I know that the "Paste Table" option works fine for importing from Word, but what if you have a plain text file that you would like to import? What I have is the developers would like to create a several column output of various parameters and descriptions that I could drop directly into F...

Keeping figure captions with figures

If I want to make sure there is no page break in PDF output between a figure (typically a .png file) and its associated caption, which is the preferred method: Wrapping caption and figure in a <div> that is styled with page-break-inside: avoid; or Applying page-break-after: avoid; to the figure capt...

FileSync folder with multiple users

I added External Resources to a project that is bound to SVN source control through Tortoise. The project is edited by several other authors. Do I need to add and commit the FileSync folder and its content in order for everyone else to use the External Resources files? I guess I'm not sure if the fi...

Re: Non-breaking parentheses?

Not a silly suggestion at all. I know because I had already tried it. Unfortunately, the next word on the following line still has that extra space in front of it.

Cut and paste Linux commands from PDF

We have a guide for a Linux-based program. We would like the user be able to cut and paste the example commands directly into their Linux command window. This works fine for short commands, but many of the examples have multiple arguments and options so they take up more than one line in the PDF out...

Non-breaking parentheses?

Is there a way to make sure that programming terms such as 'exit()' remain on one line? I have PDF output where the line break is placed after the 't'. I created a style, .nobr { white-space: nowrap; } and applied it to 'exit()'. While this did keep the whole term together on the one line, the next ...

Re: One topic in multiple places in Content Explorer?

Thanks, Steve. In my mind, I kind of grouped global project linking under 'external resources' in my original post. Would probably work, was just wondering if there was a way to keep it within a single project.

One topic in multiple places in Content Explorer?

In my project that produces multiple related but separate manuals, I have several folders under Content, one for each manual type. There are several topics that are common to more than one manual. For organizational reasons, I'd like to keep each topic in it's associated folder, but I would also lik...
