Re: Question mark in user's search causes search to fail
As a workaround you could add some kind of note saying not to include question marks (and other non-alphanumeric characters) in searches.

Table cell content style class reverts to table-text
I have a custom column in a table style.
Regardless of what I set Cell Content Style > Tag and Class to (e.g. <p> and myClass), it reverts to <p> and table-text in the output.
Any ideas?

Problem with anchor links using anchor.js
Anyone using anchor.js to automatically add anchor links to HTML output?
https://github.com/bryanbraun/anchorjs
I've got it working, except the anchor text being generated is in #TitleCase.
Anyone figure out how to get it working so that it generates #kebab-case?

Problems hosting on Amazon s3
Trying to host a site on an Amazon s3 bucket, but having issues with what looks like various CSS not getting picked up, the side navigation bar not having any content (toc).
The site looks fine on a Windows Server host.
Any experience hosting on Amazon s3 that might explain this?
Thanks!

Could avoid this issue by turning off hyphenation.

Re: Migration Flare -> Flare
So everyone knows that something should happen but we have no resources or stakeholder buy-in to drive the needed change ourselves. We - as in the Technical Writing team - have tried for 2+ years and want to work better, but it is difficult when daily tasks leave such little room for project work a...

Re: Black Screen, Flare Hangs
I wish MadCap would just spend a year fixing this and the other quite major bugs and performance issues in their software. It would be far more beneficial than some of the new features they've been releasing lately - both 2023 releases are particularly underwhelming. Agreed. The AI and themes updat...

Re: Easily hide/show content at global level
That seems as reasonable an approach as any, this kind of thing is a bit of a pick your poison exercise. If all 'preview tags' need removed before a final build you can do a search replace. e.g. replace something like this with nothing <MadCap:conditionalText MadCap:conditions="Docs.Preview&quo...

Conflicts not detected after Central review
I've a branch, branchA. I send topicA from branchA to Central for review. Changes are then made to branchA->topicA in Central. Meanwhile, changes are also made to branchA->topicA in Flare. However, when I then close the review and Accept topicA back into Flare from Central, Flare is not flagging tha...

About 20 minutes in, wish I'd searched for this thread beforehand.
Though, it's merging from Central so it seems I have no alternative VC option other than to wait.
EDIT: have abandoned ship. Been trying via Visual Studio Code source control instead, different problems... (SSL certificate).

Re: Template Customization - Homepage Tiles
You need to made changes in the CSS, namely adding a new tile class based on the existing tile class, but with the desired width.
It can get tricky, especially taking responsive output into account.

Re: Body class being ignored in HTML5 output
Having the same problem as OP. I've defined body, body.A and body.B in the stylesheet. <body class="A"> is respected in the Flare editor, as is <body class="B">. However, the HTML output reverts to <body>. Any ideas? Really don't want to go the route of multiple master pages.

Is there a way to show tracked changes in HTML output? New content I've added to a topic does not appear in the output.
There's no 'Preserve tracked changes' option in the Advanced tab for HTML targets like for PDF targets.

Re: Linking Landing page with no skin to Help topics with skin
I am doing the exact same thing, one project with a parent landing page that has no skin that links to child pages in another project with a skin. My question is how to add a link from the logo in the child page skin back to the parent landing page? I only seem to be able to add a Logo URL to a chi...
