Re: including the % character in search results
Just thought I'd follow up in case anyone was curious about this issue. I created a support ticket for this issue. Here is the response: This is an existing bug in our system. Regarding this issue, I have submitted a Bug Report on your behalf (#149209) to our development team and you will be notifie...

including the % character in search results
Having a problem with search results. My boss was searching the help for the phrase "90%" because that's a percentage we claim/document about something in our product. No search results are showing up for that, with and without quotes. Relevant parameters from my project: HTML5 target MadC...

Re: Responsive Output Settings - breakpoints question
Thank you. That is valuable information. I did a test build with "Use device width media queries" enabled. When I zoom in on the browser on my machine it never resets to the tablet configuration. I haven't heard back from the person who raised the issue with me. I'll play with the breakpoi...

Re: Responsive Output Settings - breakpoints question
Experimenting with the "Use device width media queries" setting. Maybe this is what I was looking for?

Responsive Output Settings - breakpoints question
Got a message from one of our internal users today complaining that the TOC wasn't displaying for the help site. They are on a Mac with a 13.3 inch monitor at 2560 x 1600 resolution with the browser set at 100% zoom. I've been doing all my testing on Windows with a 1920 x 1200 monitor set at 150% sc...

Confluence import - graphics issue
I imported a large amount of content from a Confluence wiki into Flare. I discovered a something annoying about how the import deals with certain graphics. If the graphic hasn't been resized in Confluence, the graphic imports cleanly. Resulting HTML code: <img loading="lazy" src="Imag...

Different search results for different users?
I got a note from one of my company's customer reps this morning. They were doing a demo for someone and searched for something in our help system. They got zero results, so naturally they sent me a not so happy note. They included a screen shot of the results. The problem is that when I perform the...

Re: December 30 1600 Variable on Search Page
Just curious if you managed to solve this issue. I implemented the last updated date on my master page and I'm seeing the same thing on the search results page.

Amazon S3 issue
Background: Newly developed Flare web help site recently deployed for the first time. We ran into weird caching issue with our hosting provider which I detailed in another post awhile back. We decided to move the documentation to an Amazon S3 bucket. That's working fine. Testing it yesterday for the...

Re: Server side caching issues
Thanks for the insight. I'll pursue that option if/when I ever get to talk to the hosting people. I'm planning on making frequent updates since it just rolled out, so I'll push for the no cache option for the directory where the Flare output lives.

Server side caching issues
I've read several threads on this subject here and I'm experiencing the same problem. I know what the problem is, but the solution is still a little fuzzy for a couple of reasons. Background: My company just refreshed our website. As part of that I replaced a really old help center build with Flare ...

Re: Unwanted files in output
Thanks Nita!
That is somewhat baffling to me to set the default that way. No matter. I am now seeing the files I intend to see in the builds.

Unwanted files in output
I'm evaluating Flare. I'm using a trial version of 2022 r2. I started with a very simple project. The TOC only contains a handful of topics. There are additional topics in the Content folders that aren't referenced by the TOC. When I build the project to HTML5, the TOC correctly reflects the include...

Importing from Confluence - questions
Hi, I'm evaluating Flare. Part of that has been testing the import from Confluence. We have hundreds of Confluence pages that I want to transition into Flare. I've tested the import and got it to work. The spaces I'm importing from have the files in a series of nested folders according to topic. The...
