Re: Help with Displaying Topic Version

Well, I think there is not a direct solution for that. Manually changing the version each time will also end up in forgetting it. To my opinion the best thing is to ask MadCap to add a system variable in a next update: changed date/time After all 'Date modified' of a file is available in a windows O...

Re: Help with Displaying Topic Version

I use a variable which I update when the version changes. Easy and quick.

Re: Why does Flare use absolute paths instead of relative?

Hi Shawn, Just to inform you that I do not notice that behavior. Example: <MadCap:xref href="../How to/Deal with colors.htm"><u><span style="color: Blue;" class="mcFormatColor">Colors</span></u>  <i>(described on page 1)</i></MadCap:xref>.</p>

Indeed I have looked at that and is not possible yet.
Maybe you can send a request to implement in one of the next versions.

Re: Table rows and conditions

Hi MariOn, I just carried out this in a big table. I selected 6 rows in a rather large table and applied a condition to this selection. This condition prevents that these rows were included in the output (PDF in this case). There was no problem at all, no empty row or what so ever. So, if this is no...

Re: Auto Suggestion and Windows 10

Hi Rob,

I can't see where it is.
In MadCap Software there is a Default entry type REG_SZ and (value not set)
If I look further in the structure I see the map MadCap Flare V11 with Licence and Registration both with the same entries and values.
So, I do not know where to find exactly what you mean.

Auto Suggestion and Windows 10

Last week my PC was upgraded to Windows 10. However, it seems that I cannot use the auto suggestions from variables since then. The settings in File > Options are ok; i.e. all check boxes in the tab Auto Suggestions are set. I even reset them, but that did not work. Has anyone else experiences like ...

Re: How to set pagelayout used in Preview window?

As far as I know you have to set the target to 'Make Primary' and then the preview will show accordingly.
In Flare 11 it is possible to select the layout conform the content.

Re: Duplicate footnote numbers per page - revisited

I was disappointed that the inability to use the same footnote number more than once per page or chapter is still not fixed so I contacted MadCap about this. Unfortunately, their response was even more bothersome. What I inferred from their response was that I might be the only one (or one of very ...

Re: Importing topics with duplicate labels

As long as the duplicate topics are in different maps, there will be no conflict.
But, in the same maps you will get conflicts.
I suppose you will get a confirmation question to overwrite or not.

Re: Capture Resources

That was the trick. I changed it to Arial. Now it works.
Somehow the Open Sans font from Google was not excepted (I checked it in my fonts directory and in MS Word and could just use it as normal).
I am curious if other MadCappers get the same conflict.

Thanks Tom!

Re: Capture Resources

Hi Tom,

I downloaded your zip-files again to be sure and unpacked them. Then within Capture I opened the file and put one of the callouts in My Palette.
The following image shows everything.

Re: Capture Resources

Hi Tom, Thanks a lot for creating these callouts. But .... I have a problem and maybe you know if I do something wrong. I created a new palette, ungrouped the callouts and then I added the callouts into the new palette for general use. However, when I insert an image in Flare it is ok. But, when I a...

Re: Setting the favicon in the address bar or tab

Well Niels, I tried and it works but again not with IE11. In one of the previous posts I described the image type vnd.microsoft.icon like below, which you can find in http://www.droomsloep.nl (a site from my son). Some of our friends that it was not a common one, but this is the link which is made i...

Re: Cross referencing to a step within a topic

Don't bookmark anchors automatically update? I was in the impression that they just automatically grabbed the nearby text. I don't think the in-screen display updates until you edit it and relink to the same place, but I thought that it automatically grabbed the correct information on output genera...

Re: Getting a table in a div

Sorry, of course you are right.
It was just a short solution.

I use classes from 05 to 25mm indentation. Example:

Code: Select all

table.Protocol_15mm
{
	border-collapse: collapse;
	margin-right: auto;
	caption-side: top;
	margin-left: 15mm;
}
