Re: No bullets
Fair enough. I wish they would support it though because the integration between the images and the software is excellent. It's so easy to update images without needing to search for where they are. It's sad if they are letting it go. I do have access to so many other image software tools, including...

Two Language Output - Folder Name Change
For two years my output has been in English. Now, I need to output in French as well. Once I added the second language to the target, and pointed it to a Lingo project, the output was put into sub-folders. For example: English only project exported into \\mycompanyfiles\default.htm... Now with two l...

No bullets
What is your solution for bullets in text boxes in Capture? I can't find them anywhere, so I can only assume it's not possible. Using a dash before each line doesn't give me a very good alignment (no hanging indent), and forcing a return and pressing the space key doesn't align the "hanging&quo...

Re: Video import not working
Can you believe it's 2021 and we still have to do this workaround? Thanks for posting. I discovered this in Flare Help (Features > Movies > About Movies): MULTIMEDIA NOT WORKING? Due to issues with Windows Media, these files will not work in the compiled output if the link from the topic to the medi...

Can you Export a Central Task Board?
While we want to use the Task board in Central to manage our work, we also have managers who want reports on the progress of that work. Are we able to export reports (or even a spreadsheet) of our task status from Central? I can't see any features for doing that, but I wondered if I'm missing someth...

Hi there. When I asked this question to our translation team, they responded:
MultiCorpora is the original company who created the tool Multitrans – they were bought by SDL.
I have MultiTrans.

Viewing Mobile Output on Sharepoint Online
Do you publish your content directly into Sharepoint Online native pages? Does anyone view that content on a mobile device? Then I'm very interested in chatting with you! Here's my issue: When I publish my responsive Flare TopNav output to our server, it's easily viewed on a mobile phone. However, ...

Re: MadCap Output on Sharepoint and the DARK THEME
Well Dave, sometimes the simplest solutions are the best solutions! Thank you. While we do link to sites, this one in particular was published to Sharepoint to enable the content to be searchable within Sharepoint. However, when I looked at my body tag, I realized I hadn't provided a background colo...

Re: MadCap Output on Sharepoint and the DARK THEME
Or.... alternatively to the above, does anyone know the code we could use in our projects that would prevent someone from being able to switch the theme? I'm currently experimenting along this lines (background-color: #ffffff !important;) but am looking for all suggestions.

I'm being asked to create a translation bundle from Lingo for the MultiTrans translation tool. Has anyone had experience providing files for this tool who is willing to provide some advice?

MadCap Output on Sharepoint and the DARK THEME
We're investigating publishing our content to Sharepoint online to be viewed in Teams. The issue I've found is that you can change your view to a Light Theme or a Dark Theme in Teams, which is something I didn't design for. Now, some of my content is invisible. Any advice for how to design our sites...

Advice - Large Org Architecture Model for Flare
I'm looking for advice. For the past two years, I've been implementing Flare at our organization, which has over 10,000 employees. I've been helping to set up sites within different business units, and training folks within those business units to help maintain the content. We do not have a central ...

Re: Topic Rating Plugin
Thanks for the reply. We have analytics. I'm looking at a way for interaction by the end user vs. just page analytics (which we also use and is quite useful in its own right). An update: For capturing user feedback to help us sustain the content, we are currently using Hotjar (as we had it in-house)...

Topic Rating Plugin
I'm looking for a plug-in that will do the following: 1) Allow users to rate a topic. After the user rates the topic, the rating is then added to the other ratings and the topic will show the average number of stars its been rated. I don't want a list of user names and what they rated the topic. I j...

Re: Different TOC for Menu vs. Breadcrumbs
While this would be a nice thing for MadCap to add (the ability to assign one TOC with the menu bar and another with the Breadcrumbs), it's currently not possible. However, this fantastic workaround solved my problem. Thought I'd share. https://forums.madcapsoftware.com/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=1160...

Different TOC for Menu vs. Breadcrumbs
Is there any way to identify a different TOC for the Menu (top nav) than the breadcrumbs is using? I want to arrange the TOC so that the breadcrumbs show the first page as Home and people click it to go back to the main page. But, I don't want Home to appear as a menu item in my Top Nav. Any ideas? ...

CSS Variables don't work in IE
When I apply color formatting as variables in my CSS, the output displays perfectly in Chrome but the variables don't apply at all in IE.
Does anyone know if variables are incompatible with IE. And, if so, if there's a workaround?

Any way to make the bullets that appear under slideshows to display text when you hover over them? This might be beca...

I'm sure I'm just missing something here, but I can't seem to find a solution for printed PDF targets and hyperlinks. Concept Link for Topic Showing in Topic
I'm playing with Concept links. What I've noticed is that the related concepts list will show all the topics associated with the concept, including the page you're currently on if it's part of the list. I was expecting the current page to be excluded as that's just an annoying loop for the end user....
