You have the miniTOC on a topic at the book level and the topics it's supposed to display are inside that book, not at the same level as the book? And if it is at the book level, does the topic associated with the book use the same page layout that's specified for the topics inside that book?

I've applied the miniTOC proxy to my topics, set the depth and yet nothing happens. What am I missing?

After playing around with the Source Control interface, I have observed that while it is easy to set up it slows down project performance to an absolute crawl and is pretty unusable at this point. You cannot scroll through the list of files in the Content Explorer, for instance.
