Thanks for the ideas...
This is apparently just linked to renaming or moving files in Flare unfortunately, every other file move outside of Flare is fast and trouble free (and my workaround is to move and rename the files in explorer and then redo the naming manually in the code, luckily it's a ...

GIT : Some teams will be allowed to use GIT next year. Not convinced for the same reasons outlined above.
Were the only reasons merging and history loss?
Our developers use GIT and I was wondering if anyone else uses it (has used it and given up...)?
We're looking to move away from using ...

Hi there, has anyone seen any hardware requirements for running Flare 9?
I can feel a new machine coming on, as Flare 8 runs way slower than previous versions on my machine (tech writers are on the lowest rung of the food chain here... ).

I don't know if anyone has found this solution? We had similar problems when transferring chm files through Google Docs using zipped files, that was cured by this fix.

You can install Flare on a 100 computers if you want with the same key, just don't use more than 1 instance of it at the same time.

Best practice for inserting 'popup' images in a topic?
Hello all,
I'd like to know what most people use to get a 'popup' type display of an image in their help topics?
I've been 'playing' with text popups in my pages to try to get that 'floating' look (inserting an </MadCap:popupHead><MadCap:popupBody><img src="../Resources/Images/ASASAV_EXT_create_in ...

Re: Expanding text not opening (not expanding)
We have a project with a few different dropdown classes.
Building the help with Flare 7 had a catastrophic result. All styles of the classes without the _0 attached were wrong. I added the styles with "_0" to the stylesheet and everything was fine.

Re: Expanding text not opening (not expanding)
You must have it in the stylesheet, not assign it to the expanding head - that's a difference. Strange behaviour, I know, but that's how they do it in Flare: Flare always attaches a "_0" to the dropdown/expanding/toggler classes.

MCExpandingHead_expandspot_0 tells me you have a class assigned to format the link. What is it called in your stylesheet? expandspot or expandspot_0 ?
From Flare 6 to Flare 7 MC changed the handling of dropdowns & the like . You will need a class named expandspot_0 in your stylesheet.

Re: Expanding text not opening (not expanding)
Try adding more than a space - try a few words, you might change the notation of those expandings texts, e.g.
<MadCap:expanding>
The component generates a stock movement <MadCap:expandingHead>(Click here)</MadCap:expandingHead>
<MadCap:expandingBody>(ASA_RECORD_COMP.ARC_CDMVT)</MadCap ...

I'll give that a try and let you know how I get on. I don't think it's a biggie, just more a case of the need to understand the code as we're re-doing the look and feel of the helps.
