Re: Create "Open topic with navigation" link on toolbar
Hi The code I'm using is: function GetCurrentTopicLink() { var link = parent.frames["body"].location.href; prompt("Address:", link.replace("Content/","default_CSH.htm#")); } Then under Skins > [My Skin] > Styles > ToolbarItem > CurrentTopicLink, I have the OnC...

Re: Create "Open topic with navigation" link on toolbar
Please update this thread if you do find an elegant solution! I'm not keen on the standard dialog boxes either.
I'd love to be able to do it the way that the Xero Help Centre does (check the link button just to the right of search).

Re: Edit CSS in toc.htm
Great - thanks for the responses on this. Got everything working now!
Fortunately (or not) it's only me that builds the Flare project, so it's easy enough to manage this way.

Edit CSS in toc.htm
Hi I need to customise the CSS used in my TOC. Only thing I need to do is add a bit of padding/margin around the TOC entries. Shame you can't do this using the Skins editor > Styles (seems restricted to Font and TocIcons). After some poking around, the code I need to change is in toc.htm, but where ...

Re: Any way to get search results to display as regular links ?
Hi
If I've understood you correctly, you want to be able to grab the link to a topic so you can send that to someone. If so, I had the same issue, so created a custom button on the topic toolbar.
Have a look at this post - hopefully that should help.
Richard

Re: Pictures appear as gray boxes when printed or saved to PDF
Images are all PNGs. Sorry, forgot to say, this happens when using Save To from X-Edit, not Save As.

Re: Pictures appear as gray boxes when printed or saved to PDF
Same thing happens in Flare - I've reported this as a bugKen S wrote:When I print a topic or save it as PDF, all pictures in the topic appear as gray boxes. This happens in all X-Edit versions and for all file types (mcdoc, mcco, fltrev).

Re: Create "Open topic with navigation" link on toolbar
Hi - thanks for the quick reply. I agree - easy to get the current topic url. Any chance you could post the javascript required to get the full CSH link? I might actually send this in as a feature request - sure it would be useful / have seen this on other help systems (e.g. Xero Help - see the link...

Create "Open topic with navigation" link on toolbar
Hi I'd like to be able to add a custom toolbar button which would grab the full link to the current topic being viewed. This would be exactly the same link as is generated for the "Open topic with navigation" link (but of course this doesn't get displayed when viewing with navigation!). An...

Re: Force Reload of TOC after publishing new content
OK, thanks for the replies - I vaguely understand.
It's only the TOC that needs refreshing each time new content is loaded, so any header should go in the /Skin/Toc.htm file - is that right?
Say I want this to stay in the cache for 24 hours max, what header do I need to set?
thanks

Force Reload of TOC after publishing new content
Hi When I publish updated content to my WebHelp project (in which I've added/reorganised some of the TOC), the TOC doesn't get refreshed i.e. still shows the old content. Is there a way to force this to reload? Seems to be more of a problem in FireFox and Chrome than IE. BTW, I don't mean using This...

Insert new line in X-Ref style
Hi How do I insert a new line into the Madcap | xref style? I've got a custom style that I want to use for the first item in a list of cross-references, which is defined as follows: {b}See Also:{/b} {paratext} However, this outputs the cross-reference on the same line, like this: See Also: An Exampl...

Expand TOC at startup
Hi Is there a way to make all books at a certain level in a TOC to be expanded when the WebHelp output is first opened? For example, in the following I'd like to have Book 1, Book 1A and Book 1B expanded, but not Book X. Book 1 - Doc 1 - Doc 2 - Book 1A - Doc 1A-1 - Doc 1A-2 - Book X - Doc X-1 - Boo...

Re: Lightbox in WebHelp output
Hi Sorry for late reply - took a while for me to get round to trying this out. I managed to get the image to display in the Lightbox ok, however am having all sorts of trouble with the paths to images such as closelabel.gif, the loading images and the prev/next images. No matter where I put them, th...

Lightbox in WebHelp output
Hi Has anybody managed to successfully use a LightBox effect for displaying large images in WebHelp output? If so, do you have any instructions for how to go about this? Any issues to look out for? I was surprised not to have found something on this on the forums already to be honest! thanks Richard

How to change link colour in AccordionItem
Hi Is there any way I can change the active link colour for an AccordionItem in WebHelp output? I can change the BackgroundGradientHover property and that works fine for the background, however there seems to be no similar property for the link text itself. This seems to have been discussed some mon...
