Re: Translating Webhelp Projects
I know Lingo doesn't translate projects. We use translation memory to assist in translating projects. In the end, Lingo is just one of a number of options. Because we use a different program, we would like to know how to optimize our workflow, as we use both in-house and external translators. Most t...

Translating Webhelp Projects
Is there any information on translating Flare projects WITHOUT using Lingo? We are pretty attached to another translation memory program (Déjà Vu), as it also works with non-Madcap products. So far, I haven't had any problems using translation memory on the (output) content htm files. The only pro...

Re: Translation Poll
We translate into over 20 languages, but leave the screenshots in English. We use numbers as call-outs, as these are more easily translated.

Re: index entries tied to bookmarks?
My mistake. I was under the impression that when you click on an index entry in the index explorer, you jump to the keyword in the topic. Thus, I thought it was jumping to a bookmark.
I found the errant keywords and fixed them.
Apologies.

index entries tied to bookmarks?
I imported a Framemaker project into Flare and I believe that several of my index entries are tied to bookmarks or topics, not keywords. This makes them hard to delete, as these bookmarks are linked to quite a few files in the project. Is there any way to delete the index entries without deleting th...

Re: Importing FrameMaker files
I once got this error because of a single TIFF file. I converted it to PNG, then everything proceeded normally. I think this pops up somewhere else in the forums as well.

Hi lacastle,
Those options are only available for import, as far as I know. I am trying to produce Frame output.

Frame output 15x longer than it should be
Greetings. When I build my Framemaker target, the generated files are much, much longer than they should be. For example, what should be a five page document turns into 80. Usually there are 1-2 lonely lines of text at the top of each page, but sometimes those line stretch vertically down the side o...

Re: WebHelp Skin Woes
I only have to use IE7, so I got rid of those gray frames (3) by modifying "Default.htm" Change frameborder to "0" in the following line: <frame name="body" frameborder="1" src="Skin/Blank.htm" /> To make it permanent, I'm assuming you could do the s...

Re: Best practice for reimporting Frame docs?
I certainly sympathize. I've pretty much given up on reimporting, though it was the main reason I chose Flare in the first place.
