Auto Expand Glossary Entries

I use CHM (HTML) output.

I have a glossary created in Flare's Glossary Editor.

The output has a glossary book in the table of contents.

I want to make the use of the glossary more user friendly.

Is it possible to change the behavior of the glossary so that clicking a term in the contents ...

@Nita Beck

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

I am working on using a nonscrolling region.

Hopefully my work will go well.

Thanks again.

Apply a Stylesheet to a Master Page

I have two master page files (.flmsp). When I attempt to edit the style class, change the p style for example, the CSS opens. Each .flmsp file has a different CSS associated with it.

How do I change the CSS associated with a master page? I would like to apply a specific CSS to a specific master ...

Anchor a Header

Is it possible to anchor a header in a CHM file that always stays visible when scrolling the content?

The attached picture shows a header that I have added with a master page.

I would like the header (logo and background) to remain visible when the page is scrolled.

Is this possible?

Flare's Help as Webhelp

@MadCap

I opened the Flare Online Help for v. 10 from http://www.madcapsoftware.com/support/.

I was hoping to find an easier to use Help file than the Help file opened from within the interface.

The file that I opened is lacking in a number of areas related to usability.

When opened in a browser ...

Re: Location of Skin Image Files

@Dave Lee

Thanks for your suggestion.

I was able to change the skin file in an editor and remove the unwanted images.

However, I must say having to mess around in "code" like that in the editor is scary. Hopefully, a better approach will be developed for a future release.

Thanks again for ...

Location of Skin Image Files

I have a skin designed for HTML5.

I have defined a logo to be used for the skin in the HTMl5 Skin Editor, Styles, Logo, Background options.

In testing the results for the logo, I used several files until I obtained the desired results.

Now I have several image files that are associated with the ...

YESSSSS!

Thank you for staying with this post.

The problem is solved. I never thought about adding a new table.

I just tested the following to apply changes also.

I think, you can reset the table style on an existing table to apply the change. Right-click the table block, point at ...

@Dave Lee

First, thanks for taking time to help. Some of your other posts have been a great help in developing the list formatting that I now have.

I am so close to the actual format that I want yet so FAR away.

The format I trying for is shown in the attached picture.

It is worth noting that I ...

@kwag_myers

I am feeling like your Curly Howard quote – I am trying to think but nothing HAPPENS.

I understand making the changes in the Master Stylesheet. I did so, and I see the behavior.

I don't want the changes to be applied to all tables.

I created a class. I can assign the class to a ...

Indenting Tables

Here's hoping someone can help.

I have tried all the options in the TableStye Editor ...

Re: Bullet Characters

@kwag_myers

Thanks for the suggestion.

Unfortunately, I am a WYSIWYG writer. I don't understand writing CSS code, so working in the code is not productive; it's a struggle.

I will just use the symbols I have. I was hoping to only have to change the symbol name, for example, disc to en dash. But ...

Bullet Characters

I am working on a multilevel bulleted list.

In the CSS, I see the list-style-types disc, square, and circle.

Example:
list-style-type: square;

The behavior of these characters is unique to say the least. The disc and circle are too small for my design.

Can someone tell me what other characters ...

Re: Remove Temporary Files Automatically

@Msquared

Thanks for the idea. I just might be able to work with this. I will have to be selective when I first add the project to SourceSafe, but I think subsequent check ins/outs will only affect what I added initially (added files not included the temp files).

Thanks again.

I suspect there also temporary files ...
