Flare's default colors overtaken by Windows 7?

Just got a new machine with Windows 7, and my accordion buttons and title bars in Flare are blue. I've searched Windows 7 forums and it seems like there's nothing to be done about all of this blue, but I didn't think it would take over Flare, too. Any suggestions on how to get Flare back to the colo...

Changing font for a Page Number in Print Output

Good afternoon

I've changed my Print output to use Trebuchet for page headers and footers (among other things), but my page numbers, which appear in the footer (if that matters), are still printing in Verdana. What item in my stylesheet is the one used for page numbers?

I liked "About", too, but got outvoted. Whatever; there are worse tragedies, right?

Thank you to all for your input; much appreciated!

Title suggestions for topics?

Greetings, all, and happy Friday! :D Throughout our manuals, I have a “concept” topic that provides detail on the settings available in a particular screen or task, then I have “task” topics that show the user how to accomplish what they want in a concise manner, without all the fluff. On th...

Re: Cannot widen my TOC in Word output

I happened upon this post while looking for something else. CSS sends me into a tailspin, so I cobble it in Word. If you select the entire TOC, you should see a tab character in the ruler (it'll be faint; mine usually shows up at the 6" mark). Click and drag this character to your right margin.

Re: Stylesheet got hosed after one change

FOUND IT.

when i switched to default medium, the old font was still there. I made the change and it's now reflected in my master page. Thanks anyway!

Re: Stylesheet got hosed after one change

No more. :) I've rebuilt my CSS using the settings from my old stylesheet. I'm getting a little crazy with a formatting issue, however, and hope you can point me in the right direction. I opened my master pages with the internal text editor and changed the name of the stylesheet to the one I'm using...

Re: Stylesheet got hosed after one change

...I'm wondering if you made a change in IV that has broken when opening in III, causing a problem when you try to re-open in IV  That may very well be what happened; never even crossed my mind. I've got a case into tech support, but what's gone is gone - lesson learned. :) I tried importing s...

Re: Stylesheet got hosed after one change

I mean when I look at my <h1> and <p> tags, the classes i created are gone (I always have it set to "Show all styles"). I enjoyed setting up my stylesheet about as much as I enjoy a tooth extraction, so I stay out of it, except for that one little change to remove an underline from printed...

Re: Stylesheet got hosed after one change

Thanks for your reply. The only hyperlink class I use is the <a> tag. Maybe I'm misunderstanding. :? As I started browsing through my stylesheet, it seems that all of my modifications and classes got wiped out. Somewhat fortunately, I still have my old stylesheet, which used a different font for pri...

Re: Stylesheet got hosed after one change

Hi Simon Ironically, I do back up frequently, but overwrite every other one and didn't notice the problem before banishing my original settings to the atmosphere. I have one project, and find the constantly-running analyzer and the new text-pasting popup annoying distractions. I typically only...

Stylesheet got hosed after one change

Good morning. I made one change to my stylesheet, and that was to remove the underline from my print medium hyperlinks (love this forum; can't remember who's post showed where that was hidden, but much thanks). When I next generated my html target, my hyperlinks and cross references were blue instea...

Index entry for topic appearing in more than one Chapter

Greetings. Tech support has requested that a topic appear in three "chapters". In the generated output, I opened my index and double-clicked the entry. The topic opened in "Chapter C" (chronologically, the last of the three chapters; not sure how Flare determines which location t...

Re: Cross references not showing correct page numbers

Thanks Margaret. I tried that, and all my cross references are now showing the raw text, rather than the page number. {PAGEREF _Ref-1960605...}. I can right-click and select "Update field", and that corrects it, but is there a way to correct all of them, rather than one-by-one? Another pro...

Cross references not showing correct page numbers

Hi all... I'm generating output to Word 2003. Back from when we were using Word to document our software, I have a faint memory of needing to make sure page breaks were inserted so that the TOC was correct. So just to be safe, after I generated my Word output, I went through every page and where nee...

Re: Bulleted list using custom image

Hi Eddie. :) Thanks for your response. I guess I could have been more clear - when I added my list class, I did so through the stylesheet editor and selected my image (CheckBullet.png). Problem is, when I create the list, I only know how to do that by either clicking the List button or by using the ...
