I was finally able to install the update after doing a safe reboot, pausing McAfee, and then perform the install.

Hopefully the installer can be improved to avoid these situations.

Downloaded the Flare 2024 R2 update but when attempting to install, received the error message: "Application Running - Please close the following application before continuing: McAfee Framework Host (Process Id: 5716)"

Disabled McAfee Real-Time Scanning but this did not resolve the issue. Still ...

Sooo... double-clicking on a project doesn't change the behaviour.

And I can't seem to "repair" the Flare installation as in the Apps list, the "Modify" button is greyed-out.

That's the error message I receive whenever I try to record a movie using Mimic 8 on my 64-bit Win10 laptop.

It's a complete showstopper as the only option is to close the program and I can't record anything.

Thought I'd follow up on this with our solution as an FYI in case this affects anyone else.

Thank you, Dave. And it turns out that there's hosting configuration that can be done to resolve the issue. In our case, an Apache setting will solve the problem.

I kind of thought that removing the declaration wasn't the best move so I'm glad that it won't be required after all.

I'm using Flare 6.1 (having been a Flare user since 3.x).

I suddenly discovered that the Project Organizer is not displaying my TOCs folder. My files are all there when I navigate through Windows Explorer to look for them but Flare doesn't seem to see them.
