I am using Flare 3.1.0 with Windows 7. I have a merged TOC that compiles just fine on another machine under Windows XP. The directory structures on both the W7 and XP boxes are identical. However. on the W7 box I can't get the merged TOC to compile. Here is the log:

Re: TOCs Merge but Indices Won't
Problem solved. The source of the problem was that the project files had different names than the compiled output. I had erroneously assumed that Flare could automatically handle that scenario. I renamed the project files to match the output and now everything works.

TOCs Merge but Indices Won't
I have a number of Flare projects that generate .CHM output and I also have a master help file that merges the CHMs together. The scheme was working fine until I move all of the files to a new computer with a different directory structure. I also did a great deal of internal editing and ...

Re: Single space when cut-and-pasted to text editor
I have rethought my approach to code examples. The problem with the pre tag is that long lines don't get wrapped when the output is viewed. I now favor the following:
1. A standard <p> tag. Use of a monospace font (e.g., Courier New) is a very good idea.
2. When entering a code sample, I press shift ...

Re: Is there a way to create a style based on multiple tags?
Thanks; it works. I was thrown off in the style sheet editor by the "show relevant assorted properties" filter. For pre tags, the filter only displays font properties. Thus, I thought that Box properties could not be associated with pre tags and I did not even try to do so. I wonder if other users ...

Re: Is there a way to create a style based on multiple tags?
The pre tag is used in my topics to present computer code examples that can be cut-and-pasted into a text editor. If the pre tag is not used, extraneous linefeed/carriage returns get inserted into the text file. If the pre tag is used alone, everything is lined up along the left margin. I would like ...

Is there a way to create a style based on multiple tags?
Is there a way to create a style that combines several other styles?
For example, I would like to have a style called "Block1X_Pre" that would be defined as:
<blockquote><pre></pre></blockquote>
and another style named "Block2X_Pre":
<blockquote><blockquote><pre></pre></blockquote></blockquote ...

Re: Single space when cut-and-pasted to text editor
Thanks -- the Pre tag seems to be the easiest solution to my problem. I really appreciate the help -- it would have taken me a very long time to figure this out on my own.

Single space when cut-and-pasted to text editor
I would appreciate help on figuring out how to do something seemingly simple. I am creating HTMLHelp and want to embed code samples in my topics and I want the code samples to be single spaced when copied from the help file into a text editor. The problem I am having is that an empty LF/CR is ...
