Re: HTML5 search highlighter

Hi Amit,
I don't think i have it anymore, but it would not work with content that was not created with Flare. It referenced HTML5's div structure and Flare-specific classes and IDs.

Re: HTML5 search highlighter

Hi Amit, The script was written 10 years ago. Current versions of Flare automatically support search term highlighting in HTML5 targets. You can see it in action in the Flare help: https://help.madcapsoftware.com/flare2022r2/Content/Flare/Introduction/System-Requirements-Technical-Support-More.htm?H...

Hi, The book covers how to import Confluence content into a new or existing project. It also describes how various types of content are converted to Flare. For example, notes, tips, and warnings covert to divs. My advice is to enable the Import Linked Pages and Import Resources options and to experi...

Re: Topic pop-ups and the TopNav skin

Hi all, Just a quick update building on the great ideas above. This version should work OK for TopNav and SideNav and more recent versions of Flare. It will also open any links in the popup window back in the main window and close the popup window. It does not require any CSS tweaks. The only issue ...

Absolutely--thanks for asking!

We give everyone about a month after a release to become certified before we update the test. So, the book will be out in about a month--just in time for MadWorld.

I'd add the space in the skin (as I mentioned):

Sure, you can also change it after publishing if you want to do it every time.

I like the idea of changing Flare's default value if you have a lot of projects.

Re: HTML5 search highlighter

Hi Lisa, It's an unusual case that you wouldn't want to highlight, so I didn't worry about it. It's more likely that this "extra" feature would be useful. You could add something to make it not a match. Example: <h1>Searc<span></span>h</h1> That would not match "Search." Or, you ...

Re: We want to make the area of text more narrow

Hi cgfrosty, In your stylesheet, you can set the body tag's width property. For example, you could set it to 500px. If the browser window is wider than 500px, there will be extra space on the left. you can also use percentages, such as 80%. If you set the body tag's width, make sure your tables fit ...

Hi Matt, I think the glossary popups are really useful, and I have a few tips that might help in your project. You don't have to manually add the glossary popups/footnotes. You can also use the "Convert first occurrence of term" option on the Glossary tab in a target to have Flare automati...
