Hello

This problem started in Flare 8.1.2 when Chrome was updated to v30. I had to downgrade to Chrome v29, then all was OK again. I think a fix was released for Flare v9, but does anyone know of a fix for Flare v8? This is important because my clients will almost all have their Chrome browsers ...

Hi, not sure if you solved it yet but here is a solution.

This is a Windows security feature which usually occurs when a CHM file is loaded from an email attachment or is downloaded.

Right-click on the CHM file in Windows Explorer.
Click Properties
Select Advanced.
An Unblock checkbox would ...

I checked just to ensure there are no duplicates. I think you're right, i'll pass it on to Madcap support.

Hi Dave, thanks for your prompt response.

Yep, the bookmark is definitely inside the named section. I tried again from an entry on the TOC, still the same result.

Bookmark inside a toggle

OK, let me try this again. Somehow my original post got lost. So, if this is a duplicate, my apologies.

I am wanting to link to a bookmark in another topic which resides inside a toggle. When I compile and run the WebHelp, the link works but opens only the target topic and not the relevant toggle ...

After a painstaking search through the topic, I tracked down the offending character. I found a square character between p tags - <p></p>. This was also mentiond in another error message indicating this character as an invalid character.

Now I've seen this before in a topic, although without errors ...

A strange SAVE error

Hi all,

This is my first post. I have been using Flare for some time now and suddenly started experiencing a save error at intermittent times. To cure it before, I deleted the entire topic content and the save OK.

Now there is just too much work to re-do.

The error pops up this message ...
