Re: Prevent users from copying content
I don't allow scripting in my browser and only selectively turn it on. Works like a charm with NoScript.
To clarify, there are customers that will not allow adding any scripting to the help in the first place, not just turning off scripting on the client side. Just something a "small" number of ...

Re: TOC expanded when built directly to PDF
If it's not an option in the target settings then I don't think it's currently possible. I had a hard time finding out how to collapse the TOC from within Acrobat as it was. So in the meantime you'd have to open the output, manually collapse the TOC, then resave it (assuming it saves the state of ...

Are you talking about the bookmarks pane? If so, in the PDF target, somewhere there is an Advanced or Options button that you can click and set some parameters, such as showing the page only and not the bookmarks pane when the PDF is opened.

TOC expanded when built directly to PDF
I might have missed the post on how to fix this, but my PDF TOC is expanded when generating directly to PDF. I do not want the TOC expanded on opeing the PDF, and I need to find a way for the TOC to be collapsed when the PDF opens.

I build Webhelp and virtually all screen shots in my documentation are conditioned for print only. There are a few exceptions such as an unusally difficult screen or dialog box. However, I have have the "print" version as a PDF which is launchable from a button on the Webhelp toolbar. This allows ...

To get this to work, I did need to create Masterpages for the print version (I use Framemaker), create "print" targets, and add a PDF button to the skin toolbar in the online help so people could open the PDF. It was a lot of work but our customers really like the options provided to them.
