What features would you like implemented in future versions of Flare?
I put a similar post in the Flare Slack channel but figured there is a different audience on the two platforms.
I imagine fix the bugs will be one, but what new features would you like to see?

Re: Technical writer for telehealth (Melbourne, Australia)
Woohoo. While its mainly been life as normal in Adelaide, it's great for the fog to be lifting from Melbourne. it did, however, answer Dan's question about who'd want to live in South Australia. A lot of Victorians, Dan, a lot. We had to lock them up at the border ;-) HAHA! I used to live in Happy ...

Technical writer for telehealth (Melbourne, Australia)
Hi peeps! We are looking for a mid-level tech writer for a six-month contract in Melbourne, Australia (finally coming out of hard-lockdown). Madcap Flare skills preferred so you can get to writing sooner rather than later. Cheers, Gary https://www.seek.com.au/job/50818274?type=standout ...

If it's thumbnail size, you may have the Show All Images As Thumbnails option selected.

Re: Setting up Git/Bitbucket/Flare 2017
Can anyone who has successfully bound a project to Git/BitBucket please, please help me! I don't know what I am doing wrong. Someone else in the company helped me set this up. They use Git and BitBucket, but not Flare, so I've relied 100% on his expertise to even get as far as I have. I'm a pretty ...

Re: Can I configure Search so that it finds the plural form
It's been a while since I've looked, but I believe this is only possible if you set up synonyms for particular words. Project Organiser > Advanced > Synonym In the Directional tab, add the word Printer and ensure that the Stem checkbox is ticked. http://help.madcapsoftware.com/flare2017r3/Content ...

Re: Removing Old Files in Child Project
If I understand you correctly, you would have imported your files using an Import file (Project Organiser > Imports). There are two options in the Source Project tab: 1. Delete stale files 2. Delete unreferenced files So, if the files in your child project are still globally connected, then using ...

We use SVN and have integrated it with Flare. No major horror stories to report although we have dipped our toes in the water by including some smaller projects first. The only things I have been concerned about are wholesales changes where we have found it better to make changes progressively ...

Re: Windows 10 window issues
Happens in mine, too, but not for everybody using Windows 10 64-bit in the office. Also happens with 2017 versions (all of them released thus far).
No solution aside from resizing the Flare window then maximising it again (repeat every ~3 minutes).

Re: Drop-Down Image is Ruining My Life & Tearing My Family A
From memory, the creepy zombie image is the original Madcap template one. I imagine you created a new drop-down class at some point with the new image. There may be a difference between. It could also be that the creepy one was created in an earlier version of Flare and, thus, the code for it may be ...

At this point I can only recommend that you take it up with Madcap support. I'd suggest it 'might' be a Windows 7 thing due to issues we've had in the past.

Re: Flare V11 Crashing
Thanks for the tip. Is there a proper procedure for uninstalling/reinstalling? I'm guessing that uninstalling won't delete my project and content files; is that right? Correct. If in doubt, though, take a backup of your project files. As for the procedure, I would normally uninstall Flare, reboot ...

Re: Relentless exceptions
Flare 11.1.2 (32-bit) on Windows 7 SP1 64-bit I would uninstall Flare and absolutely reinstall .Net as well. If you have a licence to upgrade to Flare 12 I'd do that or upgrade to Windows 10 (but these don't help with your immediate problem). Wish I had something better for you but I'd start with ...

Re: Re-importing and syncing variable sets
The method we use is: 1. In the parent/master project, apply a GPL condition against all relevant files. 2. In the child project, create a single import file and set it up to import ALL files (i.e., *.*) that have the GPL condition tag applied. Typically, this means that each child project only has ...
