Re: Restrict permissions on PDF
I've never chosen the "Require password to open option", but in order to restrict editing (not sure what you can actually edit anyway) and prevent copying and pasting you have to set a password for "Restrict permissions (Adobe Acrobat Reader 9.0+)". I have Adobe Acrobat Reader XI...

Restrict permissions on PDF
Anyone know why when I restrict editing and copying with a password in PDF options, there is no option to enter the password in the PDF that gets produced? Seems pointless!

Re: "Automatically Synchronize TOC" not working
In my case the auto-synchronize TOC not working turns out to be a problem with hyperlinks that have "Same Window" set. As a workaround, selecting (default) for the hyperlinks target frame will resolve the behaviour. A bug has been submitted to developers.

Re: "Automatically Synchronize TOC" not working
Okay, I found the Auto-generate feature for the TOC entries, but I don't want to auto-generate my TOC - I've manually built my TOC, so that's out!

Re: CHM Builds but Won't Run/Open
This error raised its ugly head for me. I noticed this error disappeared when I selected another TOC. So then I recreated a new TOC. After adding topics to the TOC one by one it failed after adding a topic - Narrowed it down to two topics that failed - they both had a <h2 class="PageBreakBefore...

Many thanks for posting this. I had magnification set to 125% and was scratching my head for several days as to why the PDF outyput was different.

Output folders is new Lingo project (version 4)
Anyone know why when I create a new project, it generates an Output folder (in both the Source and Target project structure) with a DepSets folder withing that. I guess it's used somehow when subsequently creating an update or exportingback to Flare???

Re: Happy or unhappy with Lingo?
From my POV Lingo is the only sensible way to go if you are using Flare. We have had problems related to creating a Difference project from an early version (1.0) of Lingo, and are subsequently having a few update issues, but seems to me it's excellent and can only get better - plus the translators ...

Installshield woes
We're having a first go at using the Webhelp Mobile format on PDA and various handheld devices. Straightaway the Webhelp seems to cause a problem with Install Shield (Developers comment: I've encountered a problem: for some reason if we add all help files to Install Shield project for the Mobile ver...

I need to do some reorganisation of my English help project. I have a HUGE number of images and props files in my \Respurces\Images folder. If I move those images into various subfolders and update the links will those topics be flagged as "modified" when I come to create a Diff project for...

Re: Questions for a Mobile Target? Asking for input...
This thread seems to be all I can find on support for mobile devices... I just got this from one of our developers: "The help files were slightly incompatible with current standards for them (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms229662.aspx). I made changes to the files. Please, take this ...

Re: Subversion source control = 'Too hard" basket
Here's a response I got after reporting problems using Lingo (from a project created in Flare which is under Subversion/Tortoise SVN source control) - the problem being you have to manually strip out all the (supposedly hidden) .svn folders: "Thank you for contacting MadCap Support. Lingo does ...

Re: Index keywords and Concepts fail to translate.
I just experienced a similar problem after compiling a CHM for a project exported from Lingo, although in my case topics, TOC entries and concept links are all properly translated from English to Russian, EXCEPT FOR THE INDEX entries! They are definitely all translated in the Lingo project. Raised a...

Unable to export to the chosen folder
Anyone else come across this problem? It never used to happen. Seems to be persistent no matter what folder I choose. I'm running version 1.5. Maybe a patch or an upgrade to 2.0 will fix it?

Re: Translating the "See Also" concept link
Next thing I tried: create a StylesRUS.css and replace the mc-label with Russian translation for "See Also". Did not work. Next thing: open the Skin used for the HTML help and replace the mc-label with Russian translation for "See Also". Did not work. That's it then, out of optio...

Re: Translating the "See Also" concept link
Thought I'd found it... The "See Also" text is set in the stylesheet - Select Show Link Styles - mc-label property is "See Also"
In Lingo, I filtered the File List on *.css
Double-clicked on Styles.css
BUT no mc-label style is offered for translation!!!
