I create an img style to show web-based output at 50% (width & height).

I apply the style: I preview the page - everything looks great.

BUT - in the Flare UI, the image still shows up at 100% - this makes it totally useless as a wysiwyg editor.

Any advice

I have been outputting all content to Silverlight for a year.
Just installed Mimic on new PC (Win7x64) and opened my project. To my horror the "Silverlight" output option has disappeared from the project options, leaving only madcap movie player and adobe flash (see image below).
Am I missing ...

We are considering switching from HTML output, to dotnethelp for the online helps for our application.

Something I often need to do is to send topic URLs to users (who are not necessarily running the application the helps are for ...

Why have just one book at the top level?
Because of the requirement that you can navigate from any topic to any other using only the breadcrumbs... I can't think of a way to achieve this without the top-level topic :(
Good idea to have the bullet-point howto tho - I already have a "help about help ...

The reason for the request is that some of our users are such noobs, the first time they see the help, it is not intuitive to them, seeing just the one single node that contains all the others, that what you do to access the rest of the content is click that node. At the same time ...

I guess this means we are not actually supposed to do this, because otherwise MadCap would have made this task much simpler
It does seem half-implemented. I expected to find element width and height as a property, rather than (as LTinker said) adding whitespace either side of, and below my images ...

if you mean the icons across the top, this can be changed under Skins.
1 - Edit the skin you're using for the webhelp output
2 - pick the "Styles" subtab
3 - Expand the "Toolbar Item" node in the "Styles" pane
4 - Select the item to add a label for (in the image below, I've done ...

I need some of my TOC nodes to default to expanded when the pages loads (I'm outputting to WebHelp).
Searching these forums turned up some threads on expanding Toggles, but not TOC nodes. Does anyone know how to do this?

Thanks Steve. Yes, that speeds things up - but as my images are across multiple folders it's still 4-5 mouse clicks (plus some scrolling in folders with more than a pagefull of images) to find each one.

I'm looking at 50 permutations, but just 1 or 2 variables, and a 90%+ chance that any changes apply to all but 1 ...

I have a Capture file with several images added to it (via Insert >> Add Image). When I right-click on the added images, there are "properties", and "file properties" options, but neither seems to include the name of the added image - which makes things tricky when I need to find the added image ...

Looks like Doc_Guy's answer (while not great) is the best answer. Coming from AuthorIT to Flare, the lack of this particular workflow in an easy and straightforward manner is somewhat "surprising" shall we say.

Thanks Kevin. This actually is fairy intuitive (in hindsight), in that when I right-click on the topic I'm editing the topic 's properties, but then when I click and rename a TOC element I'm only working within the TOC (and not affecting the topic that the TOC element points to...) the ...

Any suggestions/workarounds welcome.... Here's the request from the client:

1. Topic names in the TOC be kept short, like this
>Widgets
> > Create
> > Delete

>Wotsits
> > Create
> > Delete

2. Topic names in search results should include the reference item and the procedure, like this

Unfortunately reinstalling dotnetfx didn't make any difference.
Using the MS tool recommended by RamonS got me further - Flare showed as not installed, and the install process got most of the way through, but then bombed out with the same "file exists" error.
