Re: HTML5 Movie Experience
I'm having a similar issue and haven't been able to find a solution. I have successfully embedded videos (.wmv) into togglers and I can view them in both IE and Chrome. However, in Chrome, the video overlaps my page heading when I scroll the page. I found a suggestion in a blog to include ?wmode ...

Re: IE 11 does not appear to display HTML5 output?
I am just now running into a similar problem since this is the first time I am generating HTML5 output. When I view my HTML5 help locally, it displays in IE9 standards, IE9 document mode. When I view on our web server, it displays IE9 standards, IE7 document mode.

Re: Toggler "tool tip"
Yes...I did change the alt text for the images. I think it's strange, too, because I use togglers extensively in all my help files and have never had a problem. It's only now when I use a custom image that I see the Toggler tool tip.

Toggler "tool tip"
I recently added images to my togglers which work really great--down arrow image to expand the toggler and up arrow to collapse it. The problem is that when I view the help and hover over the togglers, the tool tip says Toggler. I tried changing the alternate text property for the images in my style ...

Re: Pulling help content into tool tips
Thanks for the feedback. I'm having our developer take a look at the blog. I was hoping we could pull specific content that has already been finalized instead of creating individual topics. The developer is doing some additional research and I will post here if he comes up with a different solution.

Pulling help content into tool tips
Does anyone have experience with pulling help content into a tool tip within an application or know if it can be done--by applying bookmarks, etc. within the help topics? Specifically, we would like to develop field-level help in our application that would display via tool tips. We want to use ...

Flare integration with Seapine Surround
Is anyone integrating Flare with Surround? I have noticed an issue where source control inconsistencies appear; namely, Flare indicates a file is checked out, Surround status shows as being checked in. When I right-click on the file in Flare, I have the option to both check the file out AND check it ...

Re: Control Breadcrumbs font and color
Try changing the "a" style font color in your stylesheet. You'll need to change a > MCBreadcrumbsLink > (PseudoClasses) > link and visited styles. I keep mine the standard blue and purple because it shows the user they can click the section of the breadcrumb to return to that point in the TOC; but ...

Re: Non-scrolling Header
Actually, I didn't change any div tags. According to the help instructions I changed the h1, breadcrumb proxy, and body tag. I don't see any place where the glossary uses any of these styles; but, again, I may be missing someting simple.

Non-scrolling Header
I followed the instructions in Flare's online help to create a non-scrolling header region and I love how it looks. However, it also affected how my glossary displays. I checked everywhere I could think of to see how the style changes affected a glossary style. I'm probably overlooking something ...

Caption on Images
I have a style set for large images/screen captures that sets the image as a thumbnail in the output and then expands to the large size when users hover over it. The problem is that our client doesn't grasp the concept of hovering over the image to view the full size. They see it as an unreadable ...

Tables not splitting correctly in PDF output
I've read several postings on table behavior in printed output and have followed suggestions as much as possible. However, I am having an issue with entire tables (or the first 2 or more rows) shifting to a second page. The topics contain h1, paragraph, h2, then the table. The tables are controlled ...

Re: Dynamic Help
I should have added that we use context sensitive help where users click the help button from a window/Web page and they are linked to the specific topic for that window/page. So the context sensitive help is not a problem...it's the dynamic help that adjusts to the page/window that I'm trying to ...

Re: Including PDF Front & Back Covers in Output
Found a solution to one of the issues. It's not the cleanest solution, but it works for now.
It appears there's no option but to output to the WebHelp\Skin folder--the buttons in the skin all point to that location on the build. So I end up with a folder structure that looks like this...

Thanks!

Re: Including PDF Front & Back Covers in Output
Lisa,
Including the PDF in the TOC does not work...that's the first thing I tried. When you try to build the output, get an error "File cannot be generated to 'Printed' output."
Thanks for the suggestion, though.
