Need help tracking article status
I am in the process of moving our knowlegebase from an existing tool which is no longer being supported, and has also caused several problems for us (for example, it lost all the screen shots from several articles.) Because we have had some issues with the articles in this other tool, I need to have ...

Re: Trying to Publish WebHelp Plus to server 2008
The reason I had to go with 81 is that we already have a site on this server and it's using 80. I'm trying to replace the knowlege management piece that was built into our incident tracking software as the company has stopped updating or supporting this part of the software; as a result I will be ...

Re: WebHelp Plus
I *just* went through this myself (in fact, there's a post from me where I was asking for help.)
Do you get the error on the production site or your local view? I was only getting it on the Production site, and what I found that solved the problem was to share my site folder and give users read ...

Re: Trying to Publish WebHelp Plus to server 2008
Thank you all for your help! Have the site working, finally. I want to let you know what finally worked, in case any other newbies find themselves having to configure the server to host their site.
My problem was that I wasn't installing my site to the c drive, in inetpub/wwwroot. They wanted all ...

Re: Trying to Publish WebHelp Plus to server 2008
I have resolved the permissions issue, but I'm not sure it's the correct method to use (I'm not a server person, I'm just a help author.) If I change the security settings for the Services folder to include "Everyone" and give them all access, then the services page loads. It does show the options ...

Trying to Publish WebHelp Plus to server 2008
I am attempting to replace our current Knowlege management tool with a site created in Flare. I am running into the problem that my TOC shows "loading" and my search doesn't work. (If you type a phrase in, it shows loading and nothing ever appears.)

Excluding all graphics in Quick Reference Guides
I am trying to really push the single-source capabilities of Flare. Right now I write detailed how to topics, including several graphics, which are available online. I then output these complete documents to Word in a single-column format in Word to provide detailed training/reference manuals for ...

Extra Tab in Numbered and Bulleted Lists
When I output my projects to MS Word, the numbered lists contain a tab marker between the number and the left indent. This means that my steps wrap oddly:
1. Step starts here
but wraps to this on
the next line.
I can fix the issue in Word, but I produce a large number of highly customized ...

Re: Any Issues with Flare 5 and mini TOCs in WebHelp?
It only works in Flare 4. Even if I create the proxy in 4, when I build in Flare 5 there are no TOCs generated.

Re: Any Issues with Flare 5 and mini TOCs in WebHelp?
My miniTOC is on a topic associated with a book in the Table of Contents. When I use them in 4.1, it then generates links to all of the other "pages" in that "book".
If I delete and recreate the minitoc proxy in Flare 5, it doesn't work.
If I open the project in Flare 4, delete the minitoc proxy and ...

Any Issues with Flare 5 and mini TOCs in WebHelp?
I have recently upgraded to Flare 5, and have suddenly begun having problems with my minitocs. I originally placed them in topics, rather than in the masterpage, so they would only appear in the intro topic of my sections. However, when I rebuilt my help system yesterday, the minitoc for my new ...

Drop-down text causing blank lines in numbered list
I have several drop-downs in my step-by-step instruction, hiding detailed segments that some users may already know. When I output this to Word, the number ends up on one line, then the content appears on a separate line. Anyone have this problem and a solution? My regular step-by-step exports to ...

Cleaning Up Image Files
I have imported several different documents to create a single HowDoI reference for the company where I work. The problem is I now have a huge number of imported, badly named graphics. Many of these are no longer used, as the documents were out of date and have since been updated. Is there any way ...
