Re: Prev/Next buttons Inactive at Launch

So, If I read the post correctly, he WANTS them to be deactivated so to achieve this he would need to add spaces in the path? And this would cause the Breadcrumbs to cease working?

Re: Breadcrumbs and mini-TOC ARGH

Can the breadcrumbs be placed at the top AND bottom of a document?

We are using it as a major part of our navigation system and it would be great if a person didn't HAVE to return to the top of a page to go back a topic.

Re: MiniTocProxy in v4 - FYI

I wonder when I wiped that out? I had it set once... :?

Anyway, it looks "normal" again.

Well now that I know where to go to edit what, maybe I'll like this. Thanks everyone.

Re: MiniTocProxy in v4 - FYI

Also, you can right click on a topic in the CHM and use View Source. This way you can at least see which styles / classes are being used by each item. Yup I figured that one out. I'm messing with the skin editor now to see if it will affect the line spacing. Thanks to Lisa I have my links in the mi...

Re: MiniTocProxy in v4 - FYI

Ok here is what I have - that is if I did this right. This is what is referenced for the mini-toc in the madcap.css div.MCMiniTocBox { padding-left: 20px; margin-top: 10px; padding-top: 10px; border-top-color: black; border-top-width: 1px; border-top-style: none; width: 350px; } p.MiniTOC1 { font-we...

Re: MiniTocProxy in v4 - FYI

I was trying to figure out what you meant by looking at my output css, then it dawned me that you're referring to actual browser-based webhelp like here http://www.madcapsoftware.com/support/webhelp/flare/Default.htm . MIne is compiled into a chm  I think I can go to the compile folder and vie...

Re: MiniTocProxy in v4 - FYI

Thank you, I appreciate your efforts. I walked away from this yesterday, but really we're in beta right now and I'm needing to publish help pratically daily. I guess I can keep using v3.1 to maintain my file, but that defeats the purpose of upgrading right? So far I haven't had a need for the new fe...

Re: MiniTocProxy in v4 - FYI

OMG this is making me crazy. What part of the new CSS controls the color of the font and line spacing of the mini-toc? It's just so frustrating to spend so much time on getting your help file to look just so and then it's broke with no clue where to go to fix it. /vent off Why does it have to be thi...

Re: Sneak Peak Review of Flare 4

Actually I found the issue. But first, I have the latest framework in place as that is what we are developing off of. Secondly, I didn't need to redownload, I had made the mistake of installing from the msi and not the exe. I just went back and started the install from the exe and it works fine. But...

Re: Sneak Peak Review of Flare 4

I installed the trial version and went to start it and I get a "The parameter is incorrect" message. I have the dotnet framework installed, and the help viewer...I don't know what to do to correct this :(

V 3.1 is still working. :|

What I have learned.

Well I have not posted a Ticket. Because today with a clearer mind I did some more experimenting and started with a clean TOC. This is what works. Why it works I do not know. I create an unlinked over topic and name it something pertinent to the Topic Section I'm working with. In this instance I hav...

Re: Mini-Toc Please can someone explain this

yes the Explore the Interface is an actual linked Book icon, as with all of the books below it. And all the books below the Explore the Interface contain the mini-TOC only the Explore one does not. The Explore the Interface Topic is arranged exactly like the Rx Work Area topic above it (which works)...

Re: Mini-Toc Please can someone explain this

That is correct there are no mini-TOC links in the Explore the Interface subject. Because we are not using the traditional TOC to the left for navigation, there is a link from the first Rx Work Area topic to the Explore the Interface topic. That link is made in the Related Topics control. I will be ...

Mini-Toc Please can someone explain this

OMG please please can someone explain Mini-TOC proxy to me in plain understandable english? Re: Breadcrumbs and mini-TOC ARGH

you got nice help project Thanks very much for that! I finally figured out what the breadcrumbs were doing. The mini-toc is going to be the "main" source of navigation. That is a booger to figure out, but I think I had an "epiphany" and hopefully will have something working ther...

Well the only option I see there (and I"m sorry I recommended that, for some reason I though it had the buttons you needed)...but you can add a button class called Next and then under Type for that class you can set the graphic and the function for OnClick - that's probably the javascript you'r...

Re: Prev/Next buttons Inactive at Launch

you could use the webhelp custom menu, I have had it where the chm's regular menu is not shown and the webhelp navigation is through the skin. The downsize is you have only the default madcap toolbar for your base bar, but you could still substitute the button graphics and their arrangements. Perhap...

Breadcrumbs and mini-TOC ARGH

I would like to format my masterpage with: breadcrumbs mini-toc topic body I would also like to have the breadcrumbs start over with each book they are in, and have the mini-toc essentially be a non-expanding Toc for my online and program-embedded help. We won't be using the accordion style frames a...

Re: Spell Checking in Flare

Apparently Default is Canadian English? Don't think so (although it would certainly be handy for me if it were :D ) My guess is something in the RH import got Flare thinking it should use a different language setting. Perhaps so, I can't see how, RH was set to American Standard English too, so was ...
