Images in .chm file look shrunk on high-DPI screens

I use Flare v. 11.1.0 to produce a file in .chm format. For my project I make screenshots on a monitor with the resolution of 1920*1200. On viewing the .chm output on a high-DPI monitor I stumbled upon a problem that the content looks shrunk: the TOC and toolbar buttons are tiny, the images are too ...

Re: CHM file with blank content pane

Hello! I had a similar problem, except for the file names were all shown as "untitled". I solved this problem the way described in this KB issue: http://kb.madcapsoftware.com/Content/Flare/Outputs/HTML_Help/OUTH1003_-_Missing_Search_Results_in_HTML_Help.htm . Maybe this would be of any hel...

Side menu (menu proxy) customization

I have an HTML 5 project based on Top Navigation Advanced template. There's a menu proxy (side menu) inserted into a snippet that is applied to some topics. The side menu serves for navigating between those topics (naturally:-)). I want this menu to show only parent topics (=Categories), with childr...

Any news on this issue? Has anyone requested such a feature? It would be very welcome for many Flare users.

Re: TOC doesn't load in HTML5 output

The issue is resolved. I have ASP.NET v4 installed, and IIS7. It seems that due to the configuration of ASP.NET v4, the above-mentioned problem occurred because the Web.config file generated by Flare turned out to have a duplicate entry for the following code (in red): <?xml version="1.0"?...

TOC doesn't load in HTML5 output

I came across the following problem and can't get rid of it. I use Flare v.8.1.2, OS - Windows 7. When I generate HTML5 output (actually, the same story is with WebHelpPlus output) and try to view it on my local machine, the TOC/Index tabs (at the moment only those two are added) don't load. The sta...

Re: Date in body proxy

It seems to me I found the workaround to insert a date stamp in topics. Step 1: put the Variable (System - Long Date) in every topic - NOT in the Master Page. Otherwise, the "Last edited" date will always be the same in all the topics - the date of compiling. Step 2: When you publish the ...

Breadcrumbs in Master TOC

I came across the same problem. I mean I have a Master TOC and a slave project. The problem is that when I follow the link in slave project leading to the Master one, breadcrumbs don't appear.

Is it a bug of Flare? Does anyone know the solution to this problem?

It seems I resolved the problem. The fact is that in order to call Help file the developer uses HH_GET_WIN_TYPE command which looks as follows: HH_WINTYPE* pWinType ; HtmlHelp( GetDesktopWindow(), \"Help.chm>mainwin\", HH_GET_WIN_TYPE, (DWORD) &pWinType) ; http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en...

Error message while opening help file in the application

When I try to open my HTML Help in the application the following error mesage appears: \"The window name \"main\" passed to HH_GET_WIN_TYPE has not been specified.\" But after you close this message the help file opens without problems. What should I change to get rid of this mes...
