I will be sending my Flare project out for translation soon and have a question...
My files contain a lot of embedded/conditionalized comments that are there for my use only. Is it possible to "conditionalize the comments out" before I send my project to the translator?
Not only should these ...

Re: Broken Links Even After Flare 'Updates Files"
I've had the same problem and, yes, my files were imported from FrameMaker. In fact, my files were FrameMaker 6 files that had to be saved in FrameMaker 8 before they could be imported. Did you have to perform this additional step, too? Maybe that's part of the problem...

Re: Is there an easy way to combine topics in Flare 4.2?
I was asked off list about whether I had found a solution to my problem. In reading through the other responses, I believe my workaround might have been a suggestion someone else posted. Just in case it helps, this is how I got around the problem of broken links in combined topics:

Re: Previous/Next Topic buttons
I believe this happens when your TOC entry is linked to a bookmark instead of a topic.

Re: Translating the "See Also" concept link
This might help...In Flare, go to Tools > Manage Language Skins > select the language > Open file for editing.
Select the style to change/view from the list in the left pane > Index Entry > Labels.

Re: How do I display the TOC intially open?
I'm not the original poster but am very interested in the answer. Can WebHelp be configured so the TOC displays with all H1s open in the output (the final Help)?

Re: Is there an easy way to combine topics in Flare 4.2?
The links were not broken before I combined the topics. The links that were broken after I combined the topics were links TO the topic that I had pasted into the existing topic (these were cross-reference links that were looking for a specific file name).

Re: Is there an easy way to combine topics in Flare 4.2?
I tried combining the topics in the Internal Text Editor as Lisa suggested. The links from the combined topic work fine. Unfortunately, cross-reference links from other topics to the pasted-in topic are broken. They're looking for the original file name.

Is there an easy way to combine topics in Flare 4.2?
As I'm reformatting all my imported FrameMaker topics in Flare, I'm finding cases where I'd like to combine several topics into a single topic. An "import topic from another topic" option would be helpful! Is there an easier way to do this besides cutting and pasting from one topic to another? That ...

Re: do I have to have FrameMaker installed to convert to Flare?
My experience is that you do have to have FrameMaker installed on the same system that's running Flare in order to do an import. And I believe it needs to be FrameMaker 8 or newer. (For sure it doesn't work with FrameMaker 6!)

Looking for Lingo 1.5 documentation
I'm looking at Lingo for the first time and hoping to learn a bit from the documentation. When I click the "View the Getting Started Guide" link on the Start Page, nothing happens. When I select a guide from the Help > Guides menu, nothing happens. When I go to the Guides directory in the Lingo ...
