This looks like a workaround I'd like to try but I am having trouble with the CSH topic displaying correctly.

Re: CSH and excluding them from the search results
The Flare version 3.0.1 topic properties have that option but a note below it states that it is only for DotNet Help, WebHelp and WebHelp Plus.
Do you know if a newer version allow this option for HTMLHelp?

Re: Want external TOC to appear only when installed
Using HTML workshop and Flare together you can create a master TOC (in HTML Workshop) that knows the names of the sub-TOC's. Then add those sub-TOCs. they will display correctly in TOC as well as work in index with all included sub-TOCs. See http://www.helpware.net/htmlhelp/how_to_merge.htm for the ...

CSH - How to keep Master Page from effecting skin?
I am adding context sensitive help for the first time and am having trouble with the master page affecting the CSH output which has been assigned a separate skin. Any way of excluding the Master Page effects on selected directories?

CSH and excluding them from the search results
I am adding context sensitive help for the first time and would like to keep the topics out of the search results. I have tried applying a condition tag but it excluded the content from being displayed completly, not just from the search. (nice try anyway :)

Re: Topic identifier not declared in any header file
Great troubleshooting instructions!
As soon as I opened the alias file in text editor - there was the problem!
And adding the identifeir back in and re-assigning fixed the error!

Re: Cross referencing error in preview mode
I went to Control Panel, Add Remove Programs, Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 SP1 and clicked on "click here for support". That brought up an info box which has a repair button in it.
Hope it works for you too!

Is there a way to create an alphabetic list for the index
Our index is getting quite large and am interested in creating an alphabetic list (series of linked characters, each separated by a space. i.e. A B C etc.) that would display at the top of the index (before any numbers or text) or in addition to the index's initial page?

Re: Cross referencing error in preview mode
What shows up when you display a topic in the preview within Flare and click on a working cross-reference? Does it display the correct topic?
Answer: An error box is displayed with the text: "A runtime error has occured. Do you wish to Debug? Line:24. Error:Object expected."
If I choose No, then ...

Re: Cross referencing error in preview mode
Working perfectly fine one day, broken the next. And it sounds like you are suggesting that I should just live with this. So each time I preview a link, I have to clear an error to continue. That's an obvious work around; how about a fix?

Cross referencing error in preview mode
Yesterday I added many cross references; within a topic and topic to topic, testing each along the way using preview mode as well as building the project. Yesterday's cross referencing worked.

Want external TOC to appear only when installed
I have an old X3 robohelp project that I am rewriting (not importing) and would like to have an external TOC display like I did in robohelp.

Master project doesn't display index from merged slave index
I am testing a concept which merges three projects together and has a #1) master project, #2) project (first slave to the master project) and a #3) (first slave to the slave) project.

Re: Want to change "HTML Help" title (as viewed compliled)
I did that but some how that field was blank when I went back to look at it. That's the second project where I enter the caption and the field goes blank prior to compile.
I tried it again, this time double checking to make sure the caption field remained filled in and it worked.

Once the project is compiled, the outter most frame is titled "HTML Help". How do I go about changing this title?
