Re: Flare and TFS 2010
I'm not sure whether you've received an answer to this. But version 6.1.0 has support for TFS 2010. We have however discovered some "shakiness" with the TFS integration when there are several users which I am considering reporting, so I advice that you check with MadCap to find out about any ...

Re: W7, Windows Update, and Flare behavioral changes?
I think I may have another one for the list of strange behavior. We have a pretty compex skin which until recently has generated webhelp without any problems at all. Now I get an error when I generate my webhelp based on that skin so that I get a javascript error in IE with MadCapAll.js. The default ...

But we have saved the Word file in.doc format and the images are still in the Resources folder.

Re: Flare output of Images in Word
We have also just realized that our images are not embedded into our Word output. Is this something that is on the Flare functionality wish list? We need to be able to send a Word version of our files that contain 200 images to our customers and we have ALWAYS been under the impression that the ...

Re: Downsampling and images in stylesheets
My stylesheet graphics are very small (35x35 px) so the problem may be that they're too small I suppose. And the target is pointing to the correct stylesheet. I think I'll just have to create a huge file and then downsize it in Acrobat. Suppose that makes it a support incident...shame.
Thanks for ...

Downsampling and images in stylesheets
I have a query that I think might be a bug, but would like feedback from here before I report it.
I have a project with images that are larger than 300 pixels. When I downsample the images to max 100 pixels for a smaller, low resolution version of my pdf output, it affects the images that are used ...

Flare support for TFS 2010 Beta?
Our development department has informed me that we will be installing and running TFS 2010 Beta in the very near future. Does anyone from MadCap (or anywhere else for that matter) know whether Flare has support for TFS 2010 beta and whether we will still be able to use our source control as we do now?

Formatting, TM, Flare, Lingo
I need some ideas for a miss I think I may have made when we imported our legacy doc into Flare which is now causing problems in Lingo.
Background: Import of .fm files into Flare, NOT using the fm-importer. We needed to go through our docs anyway so we copy-pasted it and removed any formatting that ...

Re: TFS, Flare and TFS server performance
I got the reply from MadCap Support that I could switch off the calls by selecting "Disable something-or-other" (don't have Flare open right now so can't remember exactly what it said) under Tools - Options - Source Control. And it works. I can see that I can't check out the files, but there isn't a ...

Re: Output contains all topics, not just those from my TOC
OK so a follow-up question......
I have tagged my skins as "ProductA" and "ProductB" and have linked Product A's help to its skin etc. But in my output folder under /Data I have a Skin folder for each skin, not just the one I have linked into the web help. This means that I have a lot more files to ...

Re: Output contains all topics, not just those from my TOC
So after playing around with the conditions I got it set and Product A stuff is no longer included in Product B's output. Perfect thanks.

Output contains all topics, not just those from my TOC
I think I may have missed something here which I'm hoping can be fixed with a quick property change and not a new Flare project.
I have a Flare 5 project containing several hundred topics. In that project I have a TOC which only contains say 50 of those topics. When I create my WebHelp output, the ...

TFS, Flare and TFS server performance
We use Flare 5 and TFS and I have not experienced any problems until our Configuration Manager told me this this morning that my one open Flare project was affecting the TFS server performance by querying the server what seemed like every 15 seconds. We put this down to the fact that Flare perhaps ...

Change annotation initials
I think I had my head in the sand the first time I was going to add an annotation. Instead of entering my initials, I entered XREF, which I wanted to be the comment. Now all my annotations have initials XREF. I'm guessing (and hoping) that this can changed in some program file somewhere ...
