Re: Does Lingo have any APIs available
Yes, that would be great... or, at least, have more commands / options / features available in command line (like importing and exporting XLIFF...).

Re: Batch removing old translation variants from TM
Hello,
You can also avoid the creation of these double translations. To do this, update the translated segments instead of adding a new (and additional) translation (as it is done by default)...
For detailed procedure, see https://help.madcapsoftware.com/lingo11/Content/Lingo/Translation-Memory ...

Re: Lost of TOC structure during Word import...
Thanks both of you for your comments.
Yes, Margaret, it seems like Flare does not "see" the TOC anymore in the Word file if it has been modified, updated, or replaced by a new one (either inside the document or as the very first item)...

Lost of TOC structure during Word import...
Hello,
I'm stucked by a problem I never encountered previously. I'm working on a new computer with a new configuration (Windows 7, Office 2007 and Flare 7), while I never had any problem on XP, Office 2003 and Flare 6... I do not know (yet) if this is related...

Short "untranslated" segments not included in the TM
Hello all,
I have a little problem with Lingo (that I do not have with other TM) as some (usually short) segments are or seems to be not translated, and are not included in the TM and thus not recognized later...
For example simple titles such as "description" or "introduction" are the same in ...

Re: Topic organization and page breaks in PDF output
Hello again,
- This is not due to the asterisk problem (the '+' sign is not modified), and I checked this as I encountered it previously... I'm using an external editor so I do not know either if this problem is solved in v6.
- I do not use group styles, this is only for illustration. And I also ...

Re: Topic organization and page breaks in PDF output
Hello again,
The mc-next-tag/class does not work in this case. These are very useful (I'll implement them soon as it will improve my work) during typing of content. When you press Enter at the end of a line in the specific style, the next line automatically switch to the defined style... But they ...

Re: Topic organization and page breaks in PDF output
Sorry, I was not clear... I have several "independant" books and TOCs re-using some common topics. A single topic is not used several times in the same book, as I know it is not a good idea for the reasons you mentionned.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

Re: Topic organization and page breaks in PDF output
Yes, correct, that's exactly my problem...
Didn't know about these "xx-next-xx" tags... I will try them tomorrow and will let you know.
Thanks again.
P.S. I cannot apply the h2/h2.nobreak tags manually because of topics reuse, they are not always at the same position in the TOC.

Re: Topic organization and page breaks in PDF output
Hello, thanks again for the comment.
If I insert an automatic page break before for h2 style, then, as explained in my first question, h1 topic (empty in pdf output) is alone on its own page because next line, which is the first h2 title, also starts on a new page... That's the heart of my problem ...

Re: Topic organization and page breaks in PDF output
Hello,
Thanks for your suggestion, but that's what I already tried as explained in the second part of my question. Now the problem is, how to recover the higher level title that was included in my page header ? As it is part of a previous chapter, it seems not to be available anymore for chapters ...

Hello,
I'm sorry if I missed the solution to my question on the forum, but I only found partial information up to now...
I'm using Flare 6 and now I'd like to go directly to PDF without generating a Word file but I have a problem with my page breaks...

This morning I found the very first question I could not answer with the help, nor find any clue in the forum. But maybe I just missed it...
