.js files causing code analysis failure
Greetings,
Has anyone had to have their Flare output undergo an official static code review analysis, such as Fortify? Basically, our application has to pass a static code analysis for security purposes. We've noticed that the .js files contained in the help output keep getting flagged as unsecure ...

Hi Lisa,
Many thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, I think you over simplify my problem though...haha. Because what I'm up against is not necessarily getting people to sit down and agree on documentation conventions and tools because it's two separate help systems coming from two separate companies ...

Riley,
Thank you! I don't know how I overlooked something so obvious - but that certainly solved my issue.

HTML5 Custom button Hover over label issue
Can anyone tell me how to add a hover over label to a custom button for an HTML5 toolbar? The default buttons have hover over labels, but I don't see anything in the Styles that allows me to add this functionality to a custom button. Thanks!

Re: RESOLVED: HTML5 Skin Editor: Can't apply changes to buttons?
I have a follow up question to this:
How do you add a hover over label to a custom button? If you hover over all the default Madcap buttons (such as Print, Next topic, etc) they all have hover over labels when viewed in the browser. However, I cannot seem to find out how to add a hover over label to ...

Glossary terms as footnotes need to change the font size
I actually like the feature where you can convert a linked glossary term to a footnote for print output. HOWEVER, I cannot for the life of me, format the font style and size of the footnote comment (when it is a linked glossary term being converted). I can change the number style, but not the actual ...

Re: font color not honored in <a> tag
Thanks, Matt.
This specific issue is with the breadcrumb trail link, or the style class "a.MCBreadcrubsLink." I change the font for that AND also for the <a> tag. But the change will not take hold, it wants to default back. I've tried a few things, even opening the Text Editor and changing the font ...

Re: font color not honored in <a> tag
So I am having a similar problem, except that I cannot get the font color for the <a> tag to change. I go into the stylesheet editor (for the appropriate medium that matches my target), make the change to the font color, but it automatically defaults to the previous color. It's like my changes are ...

The borders do not show up when I print to a high quality, colored printer. I even increased the magnification to 125% - still no borders.

Greetings,

Re: Keeping text with images, conditional document
Thanks for the response, Lisa. I understand that the command, "avoid" is not the same as "always avoid" but it would be NICE if there was an "always avoid" command to guarantee something like this would not occur. However, since there's not....

Keeping text with images, conditional document
So I'm having an issue with page breaks occurring just before an image, leaving the image to start at the very top of the next page. Obviously this depends upon the flow of the document, as it does not happen with every image, but only those that are too big to fit at the bottom of a page and get ...

Re: Page layout with single and double columns?
Make two types of page layouts - they would be identical in every way, except one would be 2 columns the other would be one column. In your print TOC, right click on the topic you want to have 2 columns, select Properties>Printed Output, assign the 2 column page layout here by making a chapter break ...

That was very helpful info. I actually used PhotoShop though to get the color I desired. I'd still be curious to find out though if anyone has any stock photo sites they recommend for common documentation graphics.
Thanks again!

TOC book icon variety
Does anyone know of a good place to find a variety of book icon graphics for the TOC? Basically I want a closed and open book icon in a variety of colors to match my skin(s). A black and/or gold one (like Army colors) would be super awesome right about now
Thanks for your help!

Ok, so my group wants to have a link in the toolbar of our help system that will link our user to their own intranet. Index spacing in print
When I generated my index in Word, the spacing between lines looked to like 1pt or 1.5pt at least. I tried to change this in the p.index style classes even making them 0, but it had no effect on the index at all. Is there a way to eliminate line spacing between index entries? I tried adjusting the ...

Finally! Success! Thanks so much to Margaret and Kevin - together you definitely helped me. I would suggest for anyone else who has this problem to do a combination of things. First, assign firstpage, even and odd HEADER proxies in your master TOC. Then create subclasses for your HEADERS (example: p ...

Re: Header margins vs. body margins
Kevin I tried your suggestion, but that does not seem to work, unless I am still doing something wrong. If the Body tag controls everything, what is the sense of adjusting the padding? I've tried a few things now and nothing seems to change the margin of the body except the margin of the masterpage ...
