Re: Broken Links Even After Flare 'Updates Files"
I mentioned this on another thread but will throw it in here: My organization suspects a link between this problem and files that were originally imported from Frame content. Were yours?

Re: Renaming files/folders causes innumerable broken links
May I ask if these projects were originally imported from Frame? I have had no problems renaming files, removing spaces, moving files into different folders, etc., in multiple versions of Flare, until now, when we began moving files in a project imported from Frame into folders rather than leaving t...

Re: PDF Output bookmarks and time consuming build
I have a workaround for my problem, which ultimately can be stated like this, and may be useful for people doing book-PDF output but who want their content to be created in a topic-based style (that is, not have a whole chapter of hierarchical content in a single topic). Problem: - Topics can stand ...

Re: PDF Output bookmarks and time consuming build
Yes I am not referring to rebuilding the PDF in flare, I am modifying the bookmarks in the PDF, saving the PDF, then re-opening that same PDF. It does not sound like you are experiencing the disappearing bookmarks, though. I am still searching on that one.

Re: PDF Output bookmarks and time consuming build
Another note related to my previous post. When I am working in the PDF, I save repeatedly as I modify the bookmarks, and everything appears to be fine. It is only when I close the document and then reopen it again that the problem becomes apparent. Specifically, most of the bookmarks are now missing...

Re: PDF Output bookmarks and time consuming build
Hi there. I am experiencing some of the same things. My PDF output contains a list of bookmarks at the bottom of the heading bookmarks, which I have to remove. In addition, I am doing some modification of bookmarks to make the navigation exactly as I want it, and when I save the document, they becom...

Re: Image files do not display in generated Word file
I am having this same problem and using Word 20007. The instructions posted above, amazingly, do not seem to translate to Word 07 at all. I am searching help in both word and flare and not having a lot of luck. Anybody out there solve this probem and have hints?
Thanks!
Dina

Tip for when Webhelp won't display in IE
My company's application runs on a weblogic server. When we linked our webhelp into the help menu in our application, we got a problem that I saw some others in the forum have experienced: When accessing the app via IE (6 or 7), the help's frame/skin opens, but that's it, no content. None of the fix...

Re: What do you call it ?
Hi jbean. The Adobe rep I recently met at a conference used the phrase "online knowledge system" to describe webhelp-type outputs. Thought I'd mention it!
