I have consistently strange behaviour with the Autogenerate function in the Alias editor (Flare 11.1). I create Flare projects using topic files generated by another Content Management System.

Re: Sharing content between projects
Sorry to sound naive, but what is GPL?
Google search suggests GNU General Public License or possible Gothenburg Pinball League, but neither seems to fit in the present context...

Re: Indented tables not keeping "autofit to window" setting
I have just now found a way out of a similar problem (in Flare 3.1).
Two-column tables imported from Word were persistently inheriting 50% width for the columns, regardless of attempts to change the autofit settings. With both table width and column width set to auto according to the XML editor ...

Sharing content between projects
I have separate help projects for related products that share some common features.
The basic organization saves all topics for each project in the respective project's Content folder. Is there any way to put the shared topics in a separate folder so that the different projects access the same ...

Re: Working through project content
Tried building an MS Word target but only the topics listed in the project TOC are exported. (My porject was imported from Robohelp, so the TOC is the one I built in Robohelp. It is not a complete list of topics because many topics are accessed through help buttons in the software and do not need a ...

Search for variables
A newbie question - can you search for variables in topic content? I haven't found a way (yet...).

Unexpected search results
Discovered by chance that the search function in DotNet help looks in index keywords as well as topic content, which can give unexpected results. For instance a topic indexed with keyword MyIndex will be found if you search for MyIndex even if the term does not appear in the topic. Confusing to the ...

Working through project content
I am a new Flare user, converting from Robohelp for Word (yes, I know the Word environment is generally regarded as a dinosaur with serious limitations, but it beats most HTML and XML editors as an authoring tool!). When I convert an old project with let's say 150 topics, I end up with 150 separate ...

Re: Converting between hyperlinks and popups
Thanks Kevin.
What confused me was that a new hyperlink (or a hyperlink in an imported Robohelp project) doesn't have anything selected for either target frame or style class, but still works perfectly well. So what's the difference between selecting Same Frame and leaving Target Frame blank?

Converting between hyperlinks and popups
I am currently migrating from Robohelp to Flare and there are some things I cannot find.
In Robohelp, you can see the difference between a hyperlink and a popup in the Javascript instruction that shows up in the tooltip, and you can change a hyperlink to a popup in the Properties dialog.
Can you do ...
